Power Ranger Samurai Major Reveal: Holy Crap, Actual News for Power Ranger Samurai! Oh, Yeah, and we know who Gold Ranger is now.

Well it’s been a while since I’ve reported on anything PRS, mostly because there really isn’t that much news to go on, but something exciting did just happen! The name of the actor and information about the Samurai Gold Ranger has recently surfaced, and I thought you would like to know that. The character himself is being called Antonio, a wandering fisherman that claims to be the sixth Samurai Ranger, and happens to be a childhood friend of Jayden. Basically the same as Genta, only without the whole “sushiha” thing that defined him. Not a bad way to explain the fish motif, though. Anyway, he’ll be played by Steven Skyler, an actor/model whose other recent TV appearences include guest-starring on a recent episode of Glee. I don’t watch Glee, that’s just what Google says. If you want to know anything else about him, look it up. Here’s his Twitter profile pic, though.

Anyway, he should be appearing in the episode following the upcoming new episode, so sit tight and let’s see if he has what it takes.

The only bad news, no remake of the Mr. Brown episode. 😥

UPDATE: (4/27/11) Wow, more news about Power Rangers Samurai! First off, as you should know by now, Nick has moved new episodes of PRS from Sunday to Saturday, same time slot though. Nick is starting to realize just how much of a money-making commodity Power Rangers actually is, so expect more promos and a more timeslots for reruns. Oh yeah. Second, as this new episode gets closer and closer, more episode previews have been coming out, there have been a few exclusive clips here and there, and this picture has popped up:

This is Gold Ranger’s Mega Mode, and I have to say, it is so much better looking than the others. It almost works here. Still kind of stupid looking and unnecessary, but he can pull it off.

My only real complaint from what I’ve seen so far is that his lines are somehow cheesier than the others. Who knows how they managed to pull that off. It kind of goes with his exagerated style, but still. That, and there was an overwhelming amount of mispronounced Spanish. It was like listening to Dora the Explorer when they bring in someone else to do the voice. But I doubt it will be too much of a let down, and there will probably be enough well made scenes to make up for some of these initial complaints.

Go-Kaiger Epic news!: Go-KaiSilver and ShinkenGo-KaiOh Debut!

Ah, you gotta love all those new scans that pop-up every month. This time we have several scans for Go-Kaiger. First up, let’s cover the biggest bit of news, Go-KaiSilver’s personal robo Go-JyuJin, and his first Legend Machine, Hurricanger’s FuuRaiMaru!

Here we have Go-KaiRed and Go-KaiSilver together in front of the lower half of Go-JyuJin, which looks oddly Gundam-like from this position, and a sea of past senshi representing their rank and color scheme. And while this pic is cool, it’s not why we’re here today. It’s for this pic:

That’s right, it’s not a sketch, it’s an actual DX toy version. It has three modes, the main robo mode, a  tyranosaurus mode, and a drill battleship mode. A bit of a nod to past dino robos, in particular AbarenOh, it features a red helmet with a gold visor, an anchor symbol similar to the Go-Kaiger Jolly Roger, and several drill gimmicks that are related to Go-KaiSilver’s weapon Go-KaiSpear. It’s big, bad, and blue. And already has a Legend Machine to go with it.

The Legend Machine for Hurricanger, this is an upgraded and green version of FuuRaiMaru, one of the smaller robos from the karakuri balls used in the formation of Gorai Senpujin. For it’s combination with Go-KaiOh, it divides into five parts to fit into the five hidden compartments in Go-KaiOh, and a Senpuujin helmet pops out and tops Go-KaiOh. In this combined form, (no real name yet) it can shoot out multiple shurikens from the hidden compartments in the arms and legs, and can combine the two larger two-point shurikens into one four-sided shuriken weapon that can be held. Whether this is suppose to be the next released Legend Machine or not, I’m not sure. But it does look surprisingly good, even if it wasn’t something actually used in Hurricanger.

But that isn’t the only surpirse I have for you today.

There have been a lot of rumors about ShinkenGo-KaiOh, and what they will use for their Legend Machine, and it seems that GaoLion will be pulling double duty. GaoLion will be appearing in the next episode of Go-Kaiger, along with GaoGo-KaiOh. And supposedly the Shinkenger episode will be the episode after next. I guess Go-KaiOh by itself didn’t have the proper leg shape they wanted. GaoLion first combines with Go-KaiOh by taking the place of the legs and having Go-KaiOh ride it. For the second combination to for ShinkenGo-KaiOh, the hind legs detach and combine with the arms, the head detaches and combines with the chest, and stuff unfolds to reveal the kanji of the Shinkenger Origami, in the order they appear on ShinkenOh. They also get a helmet similar to the ShinkenOh helmet, and a Rekka Daizatou. And they can form a secondary  weapon using Go-KaiOh’s sabres, what looks like a bow or a double-bladed sword. While I feel a little ripped off that they didn’t make a separate Legend Machine for Shinkenger, it does look really cool.

That’s all for now, if anything else pop out of those hidden compartments, I’ll be sure to analyze and dissect it, and tell you what I find.

UPDATE: (4/17/11) Found a bigger, fuller pic of the first one, and it includes two RangerKey sets!

Apparently, there’s an arm swapping gimmick between Go-JyuJin and Go-KaiOh, and the next Ranger Key set includes Tyranno Ranger, HurricaneRed, Battle Japan, GoseiRed, and Red Racer, and the first set of RangerKeys for Go-KAiSilver will include MagiShine, DekaBreak, Shurikenger, ShinkenGold, and the Anchor Key that unlocks his Gold form (for info on that, just check the last post in Go-KaiSilver). If I find anything else, I’ll let you know.

Found something else!

This is a scan of the full page that FuuRaiMaru was on, and as you can see on the bottom, they seem to have made a top battle-like game using the Shinobi Medals. More word on this if I find out that anybody cares.

Kamen Rider OOO: BuraKaWani Form and more PutoTerrano Pics

So many surprises from this series! Anyway this is BuraKaWani combo, a combo that circulated the rumor mill a couple of months ago, and is composed of the Cobra, Turtle, and Crocodile Medals. The main rumor circulating is that this will be a movie-only form that will pop up in OOO’s summer movie. Very cool looking, has an Arabian Nights feel to it.

And here are a bunch of PutoTerrano pics, just so that this post doesn’t look completely barren!

Through a couple of big ones in there for detail. So that you could see OOO’s magnificence in all it’s glory.

UPDATE: (4/17/11) Found a full page scan of BuraKaWani combo, including the medals it’s based off of.

And I found a pic of the combo for the yet-to-be-used Panda Core!

I think that might be a Panda Fox as the head Medal. If I find anything else, you’ll be the first to know.

Upcoming Go-Kaiger Episodes: Gao! Howling Gallery!

Next week’s episode will bring back Shishi Kakeru/GaoRed, and it looks like they’re getting GaoLion!

But that isn’t the only news. It’s that time of the month again, that’s right, it’s NEW SCANS TIME! And we have a whole range of news to cover, from from episodes to toys, previews and reviews, and even a little Goseiger news. So let’s dive in!

That’s a whole lot of very big pictures, including a secret sneak peak of ShinkenGo-KaiOh! Sorry it’s only the Gashophon version. Anything else comes up, I’ll be sure to let you know.

henshinGARB: Hissatsu Waza Sale: Slashing prices left and right in one big finisher!

Hey there everybody, I’m just here pushing my shop henshinGARB again, and bringing you new deals and new products. While this isn’t a new official catalogue, it is free advertising for me. So let’s get to it!

Starting with new price cuts, the ever-popular henshinhead logo tee has been drop-kicked down to just $12.00, for men’s and women’s tees. Here’s another pic for those who haven’t seen it:

T-Shirts ~ Men's Standard Weight T-Shirt ~ henshinhead logo teeWomen's T-Shirts ~ Women's Standard Weight T-Shirt ~ henshinhead logo women's tee

I’ve also gone down on the price for the GOOO-KAIJA! Men’s tees, now down to $11.

T-Shirts ~ Men's Standard Weight T-Shirt ~ GOOOO-KAIJA! Men's Tee

Sorry ladies, no price reduction for the women’s tees. Not without losing yellow.

Also reduced is the “Don’t make me push my buttons!” Tee, now down to $16.T-Shirts ~ Men's Heavyweight T-Shirt ~ Don't make me push my buttons! Tee

If you look real close, you can see the kanji for henshin on the phone screen. Thought you’d like that.

While SHT might have ended, I will still be offering the stuff I made specifically for it, namely the two tee shirts at reduced price.

Starting with the Heroes for Japan tees, their price has been reduced to just $12. I have also taken the writing off the back, but the message still rings true.

T-Shirts ~ Men's Standard Weight T-Shirt ~ Super Hero Time Support: Heroes for JapanWomen's T-Shirts ~ Women's Standard Weight T-Shirt ~ Super Hero Time Support: Heroes for Japan

And the Still Standing Tee (featuring the picture of the Kamen Rider Statue in Miyagi still standing after the quake and tsunami) has been reduced to $16.

And that is everything that has been reduced. And just so were clear these price changes are permanent. Because our Hissatsu Waza sales cut prices down to size, and makes sure they stay down!

But before I forget, I have three new products available, as part of my new line called “Toku Allegience”. While we all love every tokusatsu series, we do have our favorites. And you can show it we these new tees. Available currently for Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, and Ultraman. And each available for only $12.

Super Hero Time! Final Update: Thanks Everybody!

Saturday April 9th was officially the last day of the Super Hero Time! Japan Relief Effort. The final donations came in and the final amount came to $8,255! That is certainly more than they were expecting, and a good sum of money for an upstart fundraiser. And since the money is going directly to Mr. S at CSToys Blog, and he has already arranged to hand this money over to charities in Japan, I’m sure it will go to good use. On behalf of SHT for this site, I just want to thank everyone that donated to the relief effort. It’s amazing what we can do when we come together. For everyone that donated, you should all consider yourselves real heroes. If you’d like a real henshin device to go with that title, please feel free to contact me. But in all seriousness, I would just like to say thank you, your donation will really help someone out.

Upcoming Kamen Rider OOO Episode: It’s Ankh’s Body!

Look what I found! It’s a preview picture of Ankh’s upper body and face, and it’s awesome!

I like the whole leather jacket feel. Original post here: http://doublew024002.wordpress.com/2011/04/10/kamen-rider-ooo-ep-30-preview-ankh-next-week/

Kamen Rider W Returns!: Accel’s and Eternal’s Time in the Spotlight.

For anyone that watched Kamen Rider W, you understand it’s epicness. And it seems that epicness can’t be contained just to the series. So now we have two V-Cinema releases from the series: Kamen Rider Accel and Kamen Rider Eternal. They’ve each gotten their own direct release sequel, or in Eternal’s case pre-quel, and both are nearing their release dates. And of course, both have a ton of pics and scans for each. So let’s start off with Kamen Rider Accel’s sequel.
Kamen Rider W RETURNS!: Kamen Rider Accel
The main synopsis of this movie is Terui Ryu, a.k.a. KR Accel, has disappeared on assignment sometime after his marriage to Naruki Akiko. He shows up at a crime scene, working for the bad guys?! With a mysterious woman?!! And he might have shot Jin???!!!! What’s going on here?! Looks like it’s up to Phillip and Shotaro to solve the crime and count up some sins. Or is it?
Turn’s out that Ryu might still be working undercover to bust another crime syndicate trying to restart Gaia memory production. And to take out this new enemy, he’s going to need a new form. Kamen Rider Accel Booster!
Using the new Gaia memory Enhancer (not a new memory, a new device) he’s able to supercharge his Accel memory to make this new form. And one of the biggest perks seems to be the new-found ability to fly. Unless they decide to go with the same route they went with Kamen Rider DEN-O, this will probably be a one time thing. But I have a strong feeling that they will end up going that way with W. Anyway, that’s all I have on this movie, so onto the next!
Kamen Rider W RETURNS!: Kamen Rider Eternal
This movie is a mix between a preqeul and a sequel, as Miina, a super soldier with ESP played by Takahashi Rin (ShinkenPink of Shinkenger) recounts her experience with Daido (Eternal) as a hero(!) before he was corrupted into the state he was found in the Kamen Rider W FOREVER Movie. That’s right. Before the whole NEVER thing, he used his second chance at life for good. And that’s not the only surprise.
Kazu Jun returns representing Foundation X, and becomes Utopia Dopant in an “Evil vs. Evil” fight. This time Foundation X is sponsoring Quarks, the group responsible for Project NEVER.
It seems that throughout this movie, they will also meet various future members of NEVER, including Kyosui, the future Luna Dopant, and Reika, the future Heat Dopant.
Also introduced is the new Kamen Rider Eternal Red Flare form, a product of the T1 Eternal Memory. The full potential of Eternal is drawn out with the T2 Eternal Memory, whose form is actually called Blue Flare.
I don’t know about the new dopant, be sure to let you know soon.
Anyway, that’s it for now, be sure to let you know if anything else comes up, and I’ll try not to take over a week to report it.

My Challenge To You!: Bioman English dub.

Hey everbody, sorry for the week of silence, you’re about to see a bunch of new posts about to come out. For right now though, I want to talk about something very important.

Recently, I watched the first five episodes of Choudenshi Bioman, but these weren’t ordinary episodes. I episodes watched were DUBBED in English. And these weren’t fan dubs, these were the official english language versions of Bioman, released by Toei. Now the person that uploaded these episodes to YouTube said that these episodes were dubbed over as an attempt to bring Super Sentai to the US, but Wikipedia says that these episodes were made for English-speaking countries in Asia, the Phillipines in particular. One says there are only a handful of these dubbed episodes, the other claims that the entire series was dubbed over. And dammit I need to know for sure.

So my challenge to all of you out there is to find out and find as many of these episodes as you can. For anyone that can bring me these episodes, I will hereby delcare you my bestestest friend EVER, I will follow or friend you on whatever you might have (Twitter, YouTube, blog, email, whatever so long as it is something I can follow), I will share my actual name and email with you (no spam), and if I happen to like you enough, who knows, you might even get to contribute to the blog. But that’s only if you can find these episodes! Keep in mind, the last one is only on a maybe status, but crazier things have happened.

If you happen to find these, or know where they can be found, and wish to contact me about it, feel free to leave a comment on this post, or you can contact me on YouTube (because I’m not always so imaginative, my YouTube username is henshinhead), or you can tweet me (that’s @henshinhead).

Now go out and find it! Ganbatte!

He’s back, and kinda sunburnt: How’s everbody doing?!

Hey everbody, I’m back! Well, I’ve been back since midnight saturday, sorry I haven’t chacked in before now. Though it seems that I didn’t need to. Anyway, so that I don’t disappoint the people who actually come here for toku-related stuff, who knows why, here’s the latest toku news.

The date for the upcoming Go-Kaiger movie has been set for June 11th. I know that’s over a month from when it was expected to be released, but be glad that it’s coming out at all.

On sunday, new episodes of Go-Kaiger and OOO were released as usual. The Go-Kaiger episode featured Jan from Gekiranger, and they seemed to have unlocked the potential of Gekiranger by summoning the GekiBeasts for a big finisher. And the last episode of OOO marked the 1000th episode of the Kamen Rider franchise, which is fitting given that this year also marks the 40th anniversary of Kamen Rider.

What we didn’t see this sunday was a new episode of Power Rangers Samurai, instead Nick opted for a rerun of the KCA’s. While I still haven’t seen more than a few minutes of the whole thing, I did find out that the cast of PRS was invited to the show, and even got to walk down the orange carpet. Pics to come later.

That’s it for now. If anything else comes up, I’ll let you know. But in the mean time, here is another April Fools Joke, this time from Saban.

This little prank went by the title of Mauve Ranger. His power comes from wildflowers and his zord is the Jellyfish folding zord. Not bad, Power Rangers on Facebook, not bad.

UPDATE: Hey, just remebered that I wanted to say one more thing. Yesterday the previous record for the most number of visitors in a day was broken by over 200. In total, 346 people visited the site yesterday, which is a HUGE jump in numbers. Hopefully it will be more than just a random spike soon. Check in later.
