More Go-Kaiger Toy Pics: I know where there from now!

Here are some more pics from the Go-Kaiger both at the Tokyo Toy fair. Enjoy:

Okay then looks like we have the current and remaining RangerKey sets on display (with some very good shots of the Metallic Go-Kaiger Keys), another pic of the Metallic TyrannoRanger Key, a massive collection of Gashapon RangerKeys, with that Toys’R’Us exclusive Treasure Chest (which comes with 20 RangerKeys), and two views of the Go-KaiGalleon (and other Go-KaiMachines). I can’t say for sure, but given the size and detail on it, those could be the actual set props, maybe even the Hero Versions (that just means the big ones they use for up-close shots). Makes me really wish that I could have gone to see this. Oh well, maybe some day…

Go-Kaiger Rumors and Confirmations: Much ‘ado about Go-Onger.

In the Super Sentai 199 movie, the Go-Kaigers received 11 Sentai Grand Powers, including the powers from Go-Onger. Well, supposedly, at the Tokyo Toy show, a couple of people were able to see the toy version of the grand power in question.

Before I say anything further, I just want to say that this is just a rumor, and there is a chance that it could prove to be false.

Supposedly. this Grand Power from Go-Onger turns out to be a new Legend Machine, a red race car modeled after Speedor, except that it doesn’t have any eyes, so technically it’s not an Engine. And the guy at the booth explained that it forms a new robot when combined with both Go-KaiOh and Go-JyuJin.

They also had Go-OnGold’s RangerKey and some Go-On Wings toys there with pirate markings on them, including two Engine Souls with pirate markings and the number 13 written on them.

That’s it for that rumor, now onto some confirmed news.

It has been confirmed the pop group G3 Princess will be reuniting the Go-Kaiger summer movie, Kaizoku Sentai Go-Kaiger THE MOVIE: The Flying Ghost Ship. The group was created for a single-episode appearance in Go-Onger. This confirmation came from Otonafami Magazine.

It was originally rumored that there would be an all-female sentai group appearing in a future episode of Go-Kaiger, and both Sugimoto Yumi and Oikawa Nao hinted to this in their own personal blogs in May. As of yet, their roles in the movie are unknown.

The idol group was originally formed for an episode of Go-Onger, and they released the single “G3 Princess Rap”, one of many variations of the Go-Onger ending theme.

Kaizoku Sentai Go-Kaiger THE MOVIE: The Flying Ghost Ship will premiere August 6th.

Kamen Rider App Game: Scanning Charge!

Namco Bandai released their new game at the 2011 Tokyo Toy Show, the Kamen Rider AR CARDASS game! The format is similar to the Ganbaride Arcade game, but for “iDevices” (smart devices) with a camera and iOS 4.0.

The game works similar to the Ganbaride Arcade Game, only instead of scanning the card, the AR system scans the AR code on the card to collect it’s info.

Here’s the official game description from iTunes:

“Call out a Kamen Rider from the AR logo written on your Carddass card! If you win the battle initiated with the rider that is challenged, the rider of the card can be registered to your collection! Build up your team with as many new riders as you can! See the official site for more details about the “Kamen Rider AR carddass!”

If you want to get the most out of the game, you’ll need to make sure that the card has the AR logo on it. Otherwise it won’t be compatible with the game. Even if you don’t have the cards for certain characters, you can use AR codes from other collectibles, such as special coins, or you can get special collectibles from Gashapon using the Collections feature.

Here’s a video demonstration of the app:

And the app itself is available in the Japanese iTunes store:

Kamen Rider OOO Premium Medal Set: I hate you, Bandai. I hate you. Who am I kidding, I love you so much!

Well, as we start approaching the end of Kamen Rider OOO, Toei and Bandai is starting to squeeze what it still can out of the series. And tis is what they recently revealed at the 2011 Tokyo Toy Show:

This is the P-Bandai Online: Kamen Rider OOO Premium O-Medal Collection. For anyone who has kept up with collecting the Medals as they were being released, just start kicking yourselves now. It is a complete set of core medals, BuraKaWani Medals included, and a complete set of Cell Medals. The collection, due out July 25th, is currently available for preorder for the hefty price of 18900 yen (about $236). The release is similar to the Gaia Memory set released for Kamen Rider W for a similarly high price. Well, if you’re really interested in collecting all of the Core Medals, and you’ve got the money to get it, then this is the collection for you.

Create your own Kamen Rider OOO: Random Combo Soft Vinyl figures specially made for you!

Starting Saturday (wait, that’s tommorow!) Bandai will let people create their own combo for OOO by mixing and matching parts to create one of 119 possible Combos, which they will make into a custom SoftVinyl figure and ship directly to you!

The OOO SoftVinyl Factory is the first project in the “OrderMade Bandai” effort. On a special Bandai website, customers can pick and choose from head, torso, and leg parts to make their own custom OOO figure. 119 theoretical random combinations are possible. And Bandai will manufacture the figure and ship it direct to the customer within two weeks, all for 1050 yen (about $13). But that’s not all.

For the ultimate collector, Bandai will also be offering all 119 figures in one massive set, including an autograph “signed” by show character Kougami Kosei, all for 124950 yen (about $1548). They will only sell 100 of these sets, so if you have the money to spend on it, go right ahead. Though it would be way cheaper to just get a couple of custom figures.

Here’s the site where you can get these figures:

If this prooves to be successful for Bandai, then I would expect similar ventures in the future.

Power Rangers Samurai Wii Game Reveals: Nothing says “Power Rangers” Videogame like unoriginal coverart.

Ok, so Gamestop has already put up their page for the Upcoming Power Rangers Samurai Wii Game, including MSRP, the possible cover art, and it’s release date. Here’s the current image for the cover art:

Currently the price is set at $39.99 and is set for release on 9/1/11 (Sept. 1st). The release date is a bit unexpected, as it was anticipated to be released by the holiday season, but an earlier release wouldn’t be detrimental to sales. I’ll admit that I don’t have a Wii, so I won’t be able to play it. But if you do, then go and preorder it from Gamestop right now!
