henshinhead EXCLUSIVE!: Official character breakdowns for next Power Rangers series! Seriously!!

Wow, for once, I’m the one reporting on a breaking story! Anyway, as you all know, recently some casting sides popped up for the next Power Rangers series, sides which weren’t more than the ones released the year before. Well, now we may actually have the real character names and bios for this upcoming series! On a breakdown service website (a website that send out audition information to people who may qualify for certain roles), a breakdown showed up for a project simply titled “Power Rangers”, and it includes breakdowns of the five main Ranger roles. Exclusive from henshinhead, here’s the character breakdowns that popped up on that page:

ALL OF THE FOLLOWING POWER RANGER ROLES are a group of five teens 18-23 years to play 15-19 years. They are all nice looking, charismatic, energetic, outgoing and confident. They must have SUPER HERO LOOKS with average height and in great physical condition. Martial arts or gymnastics is a plus, but not mandatory.

[ RED RANGER – REESE ]
Any ethnicity male, 18 – 23 to play 17-19 years. Reese is an attractive young man with super hero looks and a nice athletic build. He is a natural leader with honorable intentions. He is a much disciplined young man.

[ BLACK RANGER – BARON ]
All ethnicity Male, 18 to 23 to play 17-19. He has good looks with a slim build. He is fun and witty with great comedic abilities. He is very creative and not afraid to think outside the box.

[ BLUE RANGER – PARRY ]
Any ethnicity Male, 18 to early twenties to play 16-19 years. He is a bit on the nerdy side. He is a studious and highly intelligent.

[ PINK RANGER – SADIE ]
Any ethnicity, 18 to 23 to play 16 to 19 years. Average height. Sadie is a beautiful, sophisticated, intelligent and confident. She is very intuitive and genuinely cares about others.

[ YELLOW RANGER – AVA ]
Any ethnicity, 18 to early twenties to play 16 to 18 years of age. Average height. Ava is a very cute, sweet, positive and very naïve small town girl.

Yes, I know they almost sound like the current set of Rangers, but what can you do when you have a very popular show that you only planned on fiming two season of? Anyway, this is a henshinhead EXCLUSIVE (I want to just hammer that point across to everyone that reads this. As of the time I’m writing and publishing this post, NO ONE ELSE has reported on this), brought to you by your favorite toku blogger.

For those of you interested in seeing the entire breakdown, just click here. (Note: you will need an actos access account to view it, but don’t fret because it’s free to sign up).

So Miguel, you still want to wait ’til the next round of audition?

UPDATE: Okay, so I noticed that there were a few important things I forgot to mention. Here’s the bulk of it:

Casting Director: Iris Hampton
Interview Dates: TBD
Callback Dates: TBD
Shoot/Start Date: December 2011
Pay Rate: APPROX Salary 70/hr or 1,000NZD per day. Favored nation
Location: New Zealand

Yep, they’ll start filming in December, and it’s being filmed in New Zealand again. And here’s something else to think about:

Special Notes:  ALL TALENT must be willing to relocate to New Zealand for approx. 6-8 months. Must have valid or current passport with at least one (1) year left before renewal or able to get one. Please note the names noted in the character breakdown are temporary names for the Rangers needed for this season. PLEASE NO PHONE CALLS AT THIS TIME.

So for those of you who are really REALLY interested, just make sure that you have a passport and that your willing to travel to another country for half a year. Getting picked to be on the show is a great opportunity, but only if your willing, able, and absolutely sure that you want to go that far to do it. And if you are, then you already have one person rooting for you to get the part. 😉

  1. Hello! I know I’m late but for when the postponed auditions start I want to do this! My name is Deionte! The rangers only had one kid ranger I’m 14 and I want to be the next kid ranger. I want to be ranger blue… I think I fit for ranger blue because I heard he is supposed to be brainy and I’m really brainy… I read a lot of books and scored a 4.0 in school… plz let me know about this and also I was in my schools talent show last year! Thank you!

  2. So I need to make a audition tape and send it in to where exactly? Also what should be on the tape us acting out the role we desire? Any personal info?

      1. Well, first off, you might want to read this: https://henshinhead.wordpress.com/2011/12/17/notice-to-anyone-looking-for-info-on-the-next-round-of-power-rangers-auditions/

And second, you are both super late and super early. These auditions posted here were postponed until sometime late March early April, and we’re not sure what they’ll do by then, so they might be completely different roles. Main point: read over that article, and try to check in over the next few months. Hopefully we’ll have someting definitive by then, if not sooner.

      2. So Henshinhead, will you be doing follow-ups on this story? If so, you’ve found a new follower. Keep it up, man!

  3. Can you tell me were to send my audition tape please i am a big big big fan i been watching power rangers since i was little i would not mind moving to new Zealand just please tell me where to send my tape

    1. well, thank you. And, it’s not really a matter of signing up, it’s still an audition, so it’s just a matter of sending in your info and seeing what happens. you never know.

And don’t build yourself up too much now. 😛

    1. I don’t know, it’s really up to the casting people. I know they usually do call backs if they have a group of people they like for a certain role, that’s just usually them trying to narrow the list down. If you’re lucky, you might not have to go through a call back and they just give you the role. I know that’s not the answer you’re looking for, but that’s what I’ve got for the moment.

According to that schedule, filming won’t start until December, so you might not hear back for a while, assuming that you’ve by chance submitted an application for the role. If that’s the case, just keep checking to see if they’ve picked you!

P.S., Sorry I haven’t replied to any of your other comments, classes just started for me, and I’ve barely had time to write any actual posts. Lo siento…
