Well, it looks like Saban is really going out of it’s way to get back it’s old TV shows, because they just recently acquired distribution rights to Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation. This, along with VR Troopers and the Beetleborgs series, were recently picked up by MarVista, the production/distibution side of Saban Brands, for international broadcast and distribution. Apparently, with the new found success of PRS, theirs a new demand from the international market for kid’s action shows with a humorous slant, and what better than one of Saban’s live-action gems to do it?
Anyway, here are a couple of other stories about this:

HUGE EPIC news from out today. Starting June 15th (hey, that’s tommorow) the ENTIRE collection of Power Rangers episodes, from MMPR to RPM, will be available for instant streaming from Netflix! Not only that, they will also have episodes of VR Troopers and Beetleborgs available as well. This is huge massive news. This is the first time EVER that they’ve done anything even remotely like this. To have all of this content in one place, and to have it in a digital medium as well, I’m just speechless. If you’ll excuse me, I need to sign up for Netflix.

UPDATE: (6/15/11) Saban recently stated as a responce on their Twitter feed that they will also be releasing DVDs soon, along with the Netflix releases. And I’m pretty sure they mean more than just some dinky dvd with three to five episodes on it. These announcements can’t possibly get any bigger!
Seems like always, some rumors have been flying around the forums lately about new and upcoming series. But this one seems like a bit of a doosey. Supposedly, a new Metal Hero series is in the planning stage at the moment, but Toei currently denies having a new Metal Series in the works. There hasn’t been a new Metal Hero series since 1999, meaning that this would be the first in 12 years, or 13 years since the rumors say that it will premiere next year. Here’s a picture of what this new Metal Hero is suppose to look like:
Supposedly, this one’s name will be Tokkyu Keiji Jispector (Special Rescue Officer Jispector), and it would be the fourth rescue-hero themed Metal Hero after Exceedraft. For those of you unaware of what the Metal Hero Series is, it’s the collective name for many techno-themed toku heroes that came out in the early 80’s and into the mid-to-late 90’s. They were usually either cyborgs or people wearing electronic metal armor, and were some sort of sheriff or resue worker. Both VR Troopers and Beetleborgs were based of off Metal Hero series. But I have a feeling that if this is true, that Saban won’t try to adapt this one. You know, it’s funny, but this looks just like the sketch I posted before that was possibly Kamen Rider Fouze, which really makes me wonder if it’s real or not. Though I’ll admit, this one looks a bit more convincing.
