Go-Kaiger show and Vs. Gavan movie Super Post: It’s going to be Legend…wait for it…

…Dary! Surprisingly, not a lot of big news for Go-Kaiger from this past week, but there’s still some interesting news for the movie Go-Kaiger Vs. Gavan, and we have new episode summaries for the next two episodes. It’s Don Dogoier the Legendary Hero vs. Damaras, the Strongest Man in Space!

First, here’s the episode summaries for this last episode and the next two (keep in mind that these came out yesterday before anyone saw the episode):

Episode 42: The Strongest Man in Space – 12/11 script: Naruhisa Arakawa / director: Hiroyuki Kato Doc dreads facing enemies and hates fighting. Luka is flabbergasted that he thinks the Zangyack might change their ways. In this fight the enemy targets Doc first. But, instead of facing them, he turns and runs away. Joe bluntly calls him pathetic.

Every time Doc fights now he gets less manly and more uncool. Ahim finds an old magazine with an article about the legendary hero Don Dogoier, looking heroic and brave. He looks just like Doc, so she suspects that they are the same person.

Episode 43: Becoming the Legendary Hero – 12/18 script: Naruhisa Arakawa / director: Hiroyuki Kato Damaras, the strongest man in space, combines forces with Basco and attacks Marvelous and his crew. They don’t see Doc but kidnap the others. Afterward, Doc finally stands up and pursues the enemy.

Episode 44: N/A (12/25) script: Junko Koumura / director: Taro Sakamoto Gai brings a Christmas tree onto the Galleon. The others don’t know about Christmas, so they think the dazzling ornaments are strange. After they learn about Christmas from a picture book, they decide to have a party on the Galleon.

Gai and Luka go out shopping for the party. While they’re out, they meet a group of children decorating for Christmas, including young Sayo. But then the Zangyack appear….

Everybody gets a Christmas episode! And other rumors have the Kakuranger tribute episode after these, which includes the return of Ninjaman!

Anyway, onto movie news!

First, we have this pic from the wrap-up party for the Go-Kaiger Vs. Gavan filming:

Here’s the full Go-Kaiger crew, along with Hosogai Kei who plays Basco da Jorokia, and Ohba Kenji, who reprised all three of his famous toku roles in the movie. The movie comes out January 21st with Blu-Ray/DVD release on March 21st (wow, only a two month turn around; unusual, but wholeheartedly welcomed!).

And we now know what the theme song for the movie will be! And it is (drumroll please)…

…”JUMP!” by Kushida Akira and Matsubara Tsuyoshi! Just like the movie is a crossover between the Super Sentai and Metal Heroes series, the song is a collaboration between Kushida, who sung the Gavan theme song, and Matsubara, who sung the Go-Kaiger theme song. “JUMP!” will be released January 25th.

And that’s everything related to Go-Kaiger, for now. If anything else pops up, I’ll let you know!

Clash of the Red Rangers Pics: Must… Contain… Disappointment…!

Hey Everybody! Check out these official pics from the new photo album on Nick.com’s Power Rangers Samurai website. So far, they only seem to confirm that the Red RPM Ranger is in the special, and in the suit the whole time (seriously, couldn’t get anyone?). The pics themselves might not reveal much, but I would pay attention to the titles of the pics when you hover over them, because they would almost tell another story entirely. Take a look for yourselves:

This happy gang of Power Ranger Samurais had their hands full with Moogers long before the RPM Ranger showed up.

The RPM Ranger rides in from another dimension. Awesome.

The RPM Ranger comes from a city so tortured by villains that they had to build a dome to keep them out.

What is the RPM Ranger doing on Earth, and has he come alone?

No matter how far from home, a Ranger of any kind can count on being treated like family.

What's this? Mysterious steam?!? It looks like the Power Rangers are in trouble!

Oh man! Gear-headed hordes have followed the RPM Ranger to Earth!

Interdimensional monsters? The Power Rangers aren't even trying to hear that.

The RPM Ranger joins in the battle against the thugs who followed him across space.

Thanks to the RPM Ranger, the coast is clear... For now.

Don't celebrate too soon, trouble is always brewing in the Power Rangers' town.

Ahhhh! What kind of beast is this? Hopefully the RPM Ranger knows what to do!

The RPM Ranger charges out of the woods on a sweet mystical horse.

RPM Ranger joins the crew in the toughest line-up of Samurais the world has ever seen. But are they strong enough to stop the space Mooger?!

Okay, maybe not what we were hoping for, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be any good. We’ll just have to wait and see how it turns out (we’ll also look for some sort of advertising for it, since I haven’t seen a single promo for it in weeks). “Clash of the Red Rangers” airs this Saturday, November 26th.

And remember to look for the Samurai Rangers in this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade! Maybe they’ll get more than a minute of air time this year! 😛

OOO crew starts filming for MEGAMAX: Getting the gang back together!

Well, it looks like filming for the next Rider Wars movie Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider OOO & Fourze Movie Wars MEGAMAX has begun, and we have a collection of blog posts and cast pics to prove it!

Here, we can see Arisue Mayuko (Erika Satonaka) taking a short break from filming. Confirmation that filming had begun came from her, Watanabe Shu (Eiji/OOO), Takada Riho (Hina), and Miura Ryosuke (Shingo/Ankh). And while neither Iwanaga Hiroaki (Date Akira/First Kamen Rider Birth) or Kimijima Asaya (Gotou/Second Kamen Rider Birth) have posted anything themselves, they have started filming as well (and they’re both pictured below):

Oh no, Gotou stole Date’s beard! And he’s cleverly adding it to his face piece by piece!

I guess it was time for their daily ice cream.I wonder what Ankh would think…

Well, since he seems to be getting his hair done in the Ankh style, I may yet het an answer! He posted this picture of himself on his blog. and given the hair and make-up (and ignoring the grey shirt with the shiny bowtie), it looks like Ankh is due to make a return in the movie!

While we still don’t know anything about the movie yet, at least these pics are cool.

Red Mask Comeback: Is Takeru returning in Go-Kaiger?

Well, not that long ago, some pics surfaced on Facebook showing Georgette Inaba and her son posing with the Go-Kaiger cast and crew. Inaba is the wife of “former” actor Kaizu Ryousuke, who is best known for his role as Takeru/Red Mask in Hikari Sentai Maskman. Ket me show you the pictures first, so you get an idea of where the post is headed.

The following pics are taken from Orends:Range:

There are two very interesting things about these pics, 1) they were all taken by Kaizu, raising questions about a possible Maskman tribute episode, and whether or not Kaizu has come out of retirement from acting to take up his old role in this new series, and 2) Go-KaiYellow is the subject of three of these pics, with two featuring Ichimichi Mao and one with the Go-KaiYellow suit actor. Either this possible tribute episode has something to do with Luka, or someone really likes Ichimichi Mao. For the sake of this post, let’s go with the former.

And while we’re talking about rumors, it’s rumored that Izumi Shuihei (Domon/TimeYellow of Timeranger) and Satou Tamao (Momo Maruo/OhPink of Ohranger) will appear in their respective tribute episodes. Not every tribute episode has to have a Red Senshi star in it. 😛

Kamen Rider Fourze Character and Possible Toy News: What the… Foodroids? REALLY?!! Come on, guys.

Well, this pic definitely sums up this post.

First off, we have a new, previously unannounced character on the show. Her name is Shigeno Jun (played by Fujisaki Arisa), and she is another one of Kazashiro Miu’s friends (in other words, she’s one of the cheerleaders). It’s her name that leads me to the next interesting bit of news.

Going over the names of all the characters on the show, it seems that some of them are plays on the names of the Showa era Riders. For example, Shigeno Jun’s family name, written in Japanese, could also be read as “Shigeru”. And when you take away the “no’s” in her name and replace them with “o’s”, you end up with Shigeru Juo, aka Kamen Rider Stronger. Other names include Utahoshi Kengo (an anagram for Hongo Takeshi, aka Kamen Rider Ichigo), Daimonji Hayabusa (a play on Ichimonji Hayato/Kamen Rider Nigo), Kazashiro Miu (Kazami Shiro/Kamen Rider V3), Jomija Yuuki (Yuuki Joji/Riderman), JK (which might stand for Jin Keisuku/ Kamem Rider X) and Nozama (which is just Amazon backwards).

As far as I can tell, Gentaro (Fourze) is the only student with an original name.

And finally, we have some possible toy news from Fourze. First off, it looks like, at least from the scan above that he will be getting seven Astro Switches from the start, assuming that tha’s what the egg-shaped things are suppose to represent. And a possible list of future toy releases has been posted, let’s take a look at this unconfirmed list:

(DecaEnd of HJU)

“Toy listing. Unconfirmed.
August:
Transformation Belt DX Fourze Driver 6500 yen
Astro Switch Set 01 750 yen
Foodroid Series 01 Bagameal 2500 yen
Fourze Module Change Series 01 Base States 2800 yen
Punch Fighter 2300 yen

October:
Electric Module DX Billy the Rod 3800 yen
Astro Switch Set 02 750 yen
Foodroid Series 02 Potachokin 2300 yen
Fourze Module Change Series 02 Electric States 2800 yen

November:
Fire Module DX Hi-Hackgun 3300 yen
Astro Switch Set 03 750 yen
Foodroid Series 03 Furasheki 2300 yen
Fourze Module Change Series 03 Fire States 2800 yen
DX Power Dicer & Machine Masshigler 5800 yen

States are basically forms, Base States is Fourze’s base form.
Foodroid are based on space food.
Pictures will be out soon.

Honestly, I don’t even know how to romanize some of this.

Potachokin, seems to be combining “potato chips” and the word “chokin”, which means bank savings.
Billy the Rod was written as ???????, biriizaroddo, Billy the Kid is written same as that, but just replace roddo with kiddo.
I have no idea about Furasheki, ??????.”

And we’re back. Now just so we’re clear, nothing here has been confirmed yet, but considering how close we are to the premiere, there’s a good chance that most of this is real. Although, I have to ask, Foodroids? Really?! WTF, Toei? Basically, expect twice as much stuff toy-wise for Fourze compared to OOO.

That’s it as far as any Fourze news is concerned. If I find out anything else, I’ll let you know.

Power Rangers Samurai cast pics: They are taking the princess title way too seriously.

A little while back, it was rumored that a New Zealand actress by the name of Kimberley Crossman would be playing the role of the Princess in PRS. Well, that’s been confirmed now thanks to these pics:

That’s her dressed as a princess sitting on the throne. You should be able to recognize everyone else. I have no clue as to who those two are on her left. I doubt that this is what they’re using in the show, it’s clearly just a joke pic. And here’s another pic:

One big group pic with the main cast in the middle (including Crossman), and a couple of people outside the group (one poor guy only has his arm in the picture) who I don’t know. Whether they’re friends or castmates or people who normally work behind the camera, I can’t say.

Hector David Jr. did tweet this recently:

“Time to rock the day. More  video Game Making. Wrap Party for Season 2 Power Rangers Samurai, Lets  get a little pumped up for PRS Future HDJ”

So that means that they are basically done filming if they’re having the wrap party for season 2. But does that mean that they are done with PRS? Who knows, we’ll have to wait and see.
