Go-Kaiger Series and Movie Mega-Post: This isn’t even half of what you don’t know.

Right, so there’s been a ton of news regarding, well, everything over the past week, and unfortunaltely it’s so much that I just can’t cover all of it. So instead, we’re going over that which has come out in the last couple of days, which is still a good chunk of stuff. To start off, we have this official Go-Kaiger Vs. Gavan movie poster!:

The current storyline for the movie: Space explodes in a violent battle! The one who arrested the Gokaigers is none other than the legendary Space Sheriff Gavan! Now that the Zangyack’s plan to blame the Gokaigers for their own crimes has failed, the Gokaigers shouldn’t be pursued by the Space Sheriff….
But they were handed over by the Zangyack! Gavan, upon realizing this huge conspiracy, is drawn into Makuu Space! What’s happening? The Gokaigers break into Makuu Space to rescue Gavan, but there’s a great chance that they may never return. Can the space pirates rescue the Space Sheriff and come back alive?!

And this promises to be the next big toku movie, as seen in these other scans:

In this scan, we see Retsuo Ichijoji, played by Ohba Kenji, changing into Gavan, and fighting the so-called Gavan Bootleg. In the bottom half of the left page, we seeHim also rescuing a young Marvelous. Will either remember the event? And of course, we have a new, stylized Dolgiran.

And here’s another scan of the Gavan vs. Bootleg fight, along with him and the Go-Kaigers fighting together against a possible Zangyack lackie.

And just to reconfirm the news, Ohba Kenji will also appear in the movie as DenjiBlue and Battle Kenya, as seen here:

And now onto some Episode Scans!:

And finally, we have one last scan from the upcoming Go-Kaiger HBV, where Marvelous and Gai fuse together and henshin into every Red Senshi, and it looks like Barizog is having some fusion-related issues as well:

And that’s all the major Go-Kaiger news from the past three days. I’m sure something big will come out as soon as I post this, but if it does, I’ll try to let you know what it is.

Go-Kaiger Slated to run for 52 Episodes?: As far as I’m concerned, it could go on another season.

Alright, there’s been a mini debate over ho long Go-Kaiger will actually run for. On the one hand, you have rumored episode summaries that point to 50 episodes, and before then there were rumors that the series could go well over 50. So which rumor is closer to the truth? Looks like we might have the answer to that question.

According to new Blu-Ray and DVD listings, Go-Kaiger will run for 52 episodes. This comes from news that they are including five episodes per disc, instead of just four, and that they started including those fifth episodes as early as volume 9 (total volume collection has been counted at 12). So if the last four volumes includes 5 episodes each, and the previous 8 volumes included four episodes each, then that brings the hypothetical total to 52 episodes, which would debunk the newer finale rumors and reassert the older episode count rumors. But is this really the case? Will the series run throught February We’ll just have to keep waiting to find out.

Go-Kaiger Rumors: Will there be over 50 episodes? I REALLY hope so!

Epic fanart is epic.

Now, onto business! Given the many, MANY ways that Go-Kaiger is awesome, there have been rumors popping up that the series might run a bit longer than the usual 50 episode average, pushing the next series back to March 2012. Here’s what we have so far on this (as originally posted by dukemon22 on HJU):

  • Gokaiger is, without a doubt, the most celebrated anniversary series Toei has ever given us. With that, having it go a bit longer wouldn’t be out of the question.
  • Gokaiger merchandise is selling like crazy. Another month-or-so would give the first quarter of next year to Gokaiger. While I doubt we’d get anything too crazy, it would be a nice time to sell the rest of the ranger keys.
  • The copyright is late this year. While this is not really a tell-tale sign, it is interesting.
  • March is the time for versus movies to go on DVD (with january theatre release). They could have Gokaiger wrap up, and then do a blockbuster type finale in the theaters, introducing the new team, but have it  premiere in March.

Some of these rumors even state that future Go-Kaiger episodes could number in the mid 50’s before the series finally ends, and given the rather compelling arguement presented here, this could turn out to be a real possibility. Of course, for the time being, this is still just a rumor, so we might just end up with the usual number of episodes. Of course, I’m sure I wouldn’t be wrong in assuming that we would all like to see Go-Kaiger last as long as it possibly could. 🙂

Power Rangers Samurai Episode Titles Revealed!: Dates? Who needs dates?

It’s been about, I don’t know, two months since we’ve heard anything new come about Power Rangers Samurai, for reasons unknown (and hopefully benign). Well, someone managed to find out the episode titles for the first four episodes of the next season of Power Rangers Samurai! (Sorry, still no confirmed dates for when they’ll air.) Here’s what we’re looking at so far:

17 – Broken Dreams (TBA)

18 – The Ultimate Deal
(TBA)

19 – Origins, Part 1 (TBA)
(formerly Call of the Red
Ranger)

20 – Origins, Part 2 (TBA)
(formerly Rise of the
Megazord)

There you go, episodes 17-20. The only thing we have so far are titles, no descriptions, no dates, nothing else. You could probably make an educated guess on what the episodes will be about based on the Shinkenger episodes, but since they have been know to skip, I wouldn’t go in a straight order. And if 19 and 20 really the “Origins” episodes, then that puts all of this sometime later this fall, assuming any of it is true. Oh well, I’m sure Nick will announce something over the next couple of months.
