Battle Hero Absolute Ep.6: Greatest Tribute Series EVER!!!

Hey everybody. Today’s been a little dry as far as toku news is concerned (it’s been pouring rain in my hometown, though), so I thought that I would take the time to introduce you guys to a little web series on YouTube called “Battle Hero Absolute”. It’s a creation of Jabronie Pictures, and is perhaps one of the best tokusatsu tribute series I’ve ever seen.

It’s stars Fernando Jay Huerto as the titular Battle Hero, the masked hero destined to defend the world from the Clarion invasion. In the newest episode of the series, Jay travels to Japan on vacation, speding the day touring across Tokyo with his friend Fernando, when he suddenly finds himself loss and with a Clarion on the loose. And to make matters confusing, he mistakes another masked hero, the famous Gun Calibur, for the Clarion in and clashes in a bullets vs. fists fight that you’ve got to see to believe. Will this case of mistaken identity cost Battle Hero everything? Ckeck out the video below to find out!:

Well, what did you think of that?! Makes you wanna go over and subscribe to them right now, doesn’t it?

And yes, he does pull a lot from Kamen Rider. Guy’s a huge fan, can you blame him?

And if I may say, I’m a huge fan of this series. Keep up the good work guys!

P.S., They have all of the current episodes of this series on a YouTube playlist, so just check out their channel to see all six episodes.

Video Game Rangers?: Mock Power Rangers Teaser Trailer.

So, one of the biggest problems many of us see with adapting Goseiger for Power Rangers is figuring out how to get past, or at least get around, the angel theme. Well, I certainly know one person whose found a very creative way of getting around it, and they even made a short fan trailer! Check it out below:

Well, how do you like that? Would be a great way to get through to the current youth (wow, that sounded like something an old person would write). The only real flaw with this theme that I can see is that the whole “videogame world” thing is a little overplayed. But it could possibly work.

Of course, this is only a fan teaser, and it was made over a month ago, so it doesn’t include any new info that’s come out since. All indications currently point to a sort-of MMPR reboot, with the Rangers going back to school. And unless something else comes out, the official name so far for the next series will be Power Rangers MegaForce, so who knows what the theme will be then. This could turn out to be close to the real theme. 😉

A tokusatsu what if: What if the Kamen Rider GIRLS’ Music video for Let’s Go Rider Kick 2011 had been done differently?

We all remember the first single that the Kamen Rider GIRLS made earlier this year for the movie OOO Den-O All Rider: Let’s Go Kamen Rider!, don’t we? I remember just how many of you absolutely loved the music video for the song “Let’s Go Rider Kick 2011”. 😛 Nothing quite like taking a classic beloved theme song and turning it into a bubblegum pop eyesore. So that leads us to beg the question: What if someone else had made the music video for the single, perhaps with scenes from all the series edited together in an awesome and mind-blowing way? Would that have been enough to redeem the song itself? Well, why don’t you watch for yourselves and see:

Just one word can describe this: SUBARASHI!
