Ganbaride Legend Rider Switch CM: Legends SWITCH ON!

We have the latest commercial for Ganbaride, featuring the soon-to-be-released Legend Rider Switch series! Check it out below:

That’s right, the new Legend Rider Switches! Similar in functionality to the regular Astro Switches, each Rider Switch mimics the some power associated with that Rider, such as the DenLiner for Den-O, or the Ankh’s Hand Blaster for OOO (note: not the official name of said power-up). And there are other such Legend Rider Switches confirmed coming down the pipline, such as the Decade switch. And they will be compatible with the FourzeDriver, though no confirmation on whether or not any of these Switches will be used in the series.

Kamen Rider Fourze Astro Switches 11-15 Revealed: And people think hacking is a bad thing…

Not a lot of new info has come out about Fourze merchandise since the series premiered, but someone has managed to hack a Ganbaride machine, and thanks to them we now know the names of Astro Switches 11-15! Here’s what they are:

  • Astro Switch 11 – Scissors
  • Astro Switch 12 – Beat
  • Astro Switch 13 – Chain Arrays
  • Astro Switch 14 – Smoke
  • Astro Switch 15 – Spike

And, at least according to Ganbaride, Astro Switches 12 and 13 can be used together in a combo finishers, similar to RocketDrill, or Magic Hands and Hopping.

And here are three videos demonstrating these new Astro Switches in action:

And that’s it for Fourze news. If anything else pops up, I’ll be sure to let you.

Kamen Rider Fourze Ganbaride CM: 3-on-3 fights, New Riders, and Astro Switch gameplay revealed!

The latest commercial for the updated Kamen Rider Battle: Ganbaride 01 has surfaced online, giving us a look at some of it’s newest features, such as the new three-on-three combat system, the functionality of the Astro Switches during gameplay, and the inclusion of two new Rider forms (not related to Fourze). Let’s watch:

Ooh, so many secrets revealed, so little time. First, we can see that the Astro Switches make all kinds of sounds, from when they’re inserted (ROCKET, LAUNCHER, etc.), to when they’re switched (Rocket on, Radar on, etc.), to when your powering up Fourze ( 3… 2… 1…). And from there, the new three-on-three combat system was revealed, with a few new tricks added to the game. And it looks like they’ve added OOO BuraKaWani combo and Agito Shining form to the game.

The commercial was narrated by Hiyama Nobuyuki, who will be narrating Kamen Rider Fourze starting in September. I hope you like his voice, because you’re about to hear it quite often.

Kamen Rider Fourze Ganbaride and Toy pic: We’re going all out this time! Well, they are, I’m not.

Fourze is stepping into the scene, and even though were still a over a month away, he’s already started to change a few things for example take a look at the new Ganbaride advertisement that popped up recently:

Now the gameplay is three vs. three, and they’ve already started to incorporate the Astro Switches into the game. And it looks like Fourze will be joining in on the fun sometime soon.

We also have this pic of an upcoming advertisement for the FourzeDriver and the first set of Astro Switches:

While I’m sure that the first four Switches will be included with the belt (because that would be a total ripoff if it didn’t), it does look like they’ll be selling these in pairs. As you can see, there are nine Astro Switches featured here (the last five silhouetted), so we’ll be seeing nine Switches sometime within the first few episodes. And, officially, there are going to be fourty Switches in all! Holy crap, that’s a lot of stuff to collect! They will be sold along with (possibly) the State-changing action figures (think like the OOO combo figures, except that only the limbs are interchangeable) and the Foodroids, which are supposedly robotic helpers based on space food (seriously?).

That’s it for right now, if anything else pops up, I’ll be sure to hit it with a hammer, and let you know about it.

Kamen Rider Fourze Press Conference: What did I miss? Oh, right, EVERYTHING………

Yeah, I would have reported on this mucch sooner, but the power went out at my house, and in half the city, during a very nasty storm that popped up yesterday. So, I’m just gonna have to put EVERYTHING Fourze-related that’s popped up since yesterday into this one post. Brace yourself, ‘cuz we’re about to take off!

Yesterday, the official press conference for Kamen Rider Fourze took place, and we’ve been getting photos, videos, and announcement after announcement about it since!

First, we’ll go with all the pics I’ve found of the press conference so far:

Wow, that’s a whole lotta stuff!

Anyway, as a sepcial treat, I have two videos for Fourze, one from the press conference, and one about the press conference with some footage from the show. If you listen closely to the first video, you can make out Fourze’s henshin sound!:

3… 2… 1… HENSHIN! (Funky music), that’s how a henshin sequence should sound. After the little fight sequence, he checks his watch, and goes, “Ahh, I’m late!”

Ikuze, High School Rider!

Anyone else starting to feel pumped?!

How about now?

Anyway, the character profiles have also been released. Let’s take a look at our new class:

From left to right: JK, Tomoko, Sarina, Miwa, Shun,
Chuuta, Kengo, Gentaro, Yuuki and Mysterious Man

Kisaragi Gentaro(Fukushi Sota): The main character of the series, second year. He recently transferred to Amanogawa Academy. He’s a bad boy rocking a short pompadour hairstyle. He declares that he will become friends with everyone in the school. He meets  Utahoshi Kengo, as if it was destined for them to meet. Gentaro receives the Fourze Driver and starts the Kamen Rider club in school. He seems to be an idiotic character.

Utahoshi Kengo(Takahashi Ryuki): The main character’s partner, second year. A young man who had the mysterious switches. He’s a key person to the whole story. His locker seems to be distorting space and he’s somehow able to reach the moon base, “Rabbit Hutch” through the locker. He’s also able to pull out the super bike “Machine Masshigler”. He might be physically weak, but he has strong heart full of will.

Joujima Yuuki (Shimizu Fukima): The heroine of the story, second year. She is Gentaro’s childhood friend. She’s a bright and cheerful high school student, she refers herself as a “space nerd”. She usually heads over to JAXA after school. JAXA is like some space thing in Japan. She’s the only one that Kengo can actually trust, Kengo shared his secret about his special locker to her.

Kazashiro Miu (Sakata Rikako): Third year. She’s somewhat the queen of the school as she is a cheerleader. She’s the daughter of a rich family. Ever since she was born, she was always treated like the queen bee. No matter where she goes in school, her two sidekicks will always follow her. She’s a beautiful girl with pride.

Daimonji Jun (Justin Tominori): Third year. The captain of the American Football team. There’s a hierarchy going on in Amanogawa Academy, with jocks on top. Jun is standing on the absolute top.

Nozama Tomoko (Shiho): First year. She’s the goth girl with black make up under her eyes. She always brings her Tablet PC with her and has a weird laughter. She seems to fixate and obsess over various things, but the details are unknown.

JK or Jake (Tsuchiya Shion): First year. Jake is the information provider of the school. He easily detects danger and is a coward who always runs away.

Sonada Sarina (Konan Yuka): Gentaro’s homeroom teacher and the teacher of classical literature. She’s young and beautiful, every student loves her. Although, she has trouble with Gentaro and Kengo.

Oosugi Chuuta (Tanaka Takushi): The geography teacher. He’s a middle-aged man with bad looks and a bad personality. No one seems to like him. He seems to be trying to get it with Sonada, but it just won’t happen.

The man with red eyes (Tsurumi Shingo): A mysterious man who caused some incident and has the “Zodiarts Switches” He seems to have a connection with the school, but he’s a complete mystery.

That’s the line-up we’ve got going, hopefully the story won’t get too bogged down with high school stuff.

Quickly, we do have some info on the “Astro Switches” Fourze uses. The switches, as you know, are inserted into the FourzeDriver, and gives him different tools and abilities. Starting from right to left on the belt, we have: Right Arm-Rocket, Right Leg-Launcher, Left Leg-Drill, and Left Arm-Radar. So far, we’ve only seen the Rocket Arm in action, but I’m sure that we’ll see more of the other Switches’ powers as we get closer to the launch date (badum bum).

As you know, with OOO on the way out, Bandai has already announced that they will be replacing the part of the game that uses the OOO Medals and changing them out for the Fourze Astro Switches. Above is how the game will look with the new Astro Switch gameplay, let’s see if it pans out.

And in the final bit of Fourze related news, the official website from TV Asahi is up for Kamen Rider Fourze, and it’s right here: http://www.tv-asahi.co.jp/fourze/ . There’s not much to the site yet, but it is up and running. And I will be adding it to the blog roll sometime soon.

Alright, that is it for Fourze news at the moment, if anything else pops up, I’ll be sure to let you know. And, for anyone interested, this is the biggest, most thorough post on Kamen Rider Fourze on the internet as of today, so, yeah, your welcome.

Kamen Rider Fourze starts September 4th, the week after the series finale of Kamen Rider OOO, and will air alongside Kaizoku Sentai Go-Kaiger in the Super Hero Time! tv slot.

Kamen Rider App Game: Scanning Charge!

Namco Bandai released their new game at the 2011 Tokyo Toy Show, the Kamen Rider AR CARDASS game! The format is similar to the Ganbaride Arcade game, but for “iDevices” (smart devices) with a camera and iOS 4.0.

The game works similar to the Ganbaride Arcade Game, only instead of scanning the card, the AR system scans the AR code on the card to collect it’s info.

Here’s the official game description from iTunes:

“Call out a Kamen Rider from the AR logo written on your Carddass card! If you win the battle initiated with the rider that is challenged, the rider of the card can be registered to your collection! Build up your team with as many new riders as you can! See the official site for more details about the “Kamen Rider AR carddass!”

If you want to get the most out of the game, you’ll need to make sure that the card has the AR logo on it. Otherwise it won’t be compatible with the game. Even if you don’t have the cards for certain characters, you can use AR codes from other collectibles, such as special coins, or you can get special collectibles from Gashapon using the Collections feature.

Here’s a video demonstration of the app: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zByGkU3NKtI&feature=player_embedded

And the app itself is available in the Japanese iTunes store: http://itunes.apple.com/jp/app/id429607009?mt=8

Kamen Rider Fouze Rumors: He has bamboo shoots sticking out of his head?! Seriously, Toei.

This new rumor comes from Twitter, where a guy clains that he saw filming for a new Kamen Rider. The tweet is as follows:

“Saw something being filmed by the river today.
Seems like it’s a Rider”
“It was a new Rider being filmed.”
“A Rider with white bamboo shoots on his head”

White bamboo shoots? Okay, someone check that.

Also another person claimed to have seen someone in a green and silver suit with a bug helmet riding a modified bike through Yamanashi. And two other people tweeted that there will be Kamen Rider filming in a certain university this Sunday.

And, in a bit of confirmed news, they will be discontinuing the use of Kamen Rider OOO Ganbaride Medals. Instead they will be replaced with Fouze’s item, whatever that turns out to be. Although someone noticed that there were two actions mentioned called “Active”. Not sure what that means, but that’s whats up right now.
