Go-Kaiger Upcoming Toy line: RangerKeys, Racers, and a big cannon!

Alright, we have some upcoming toy pics for Go-Kaiger, including a new Go-Kai Machine, and a cannon weapon! Let’s make this showy!:

Here are all the current and soon-to-be released RangerKey sets. For those wondering why the NinjaRed Key has been specifically highlighted, it was because no one had seen it announced before now.

This is the Go-Onger‘s grand power, Engine Machalcon (I know it looks like Speedor, but it’s not, it’s his Mach Falcon cousin I guess). It comes with two Engine Souls, the Go-OnGold  RangerKey, and it can combine with both Go-KaiOh and Go-JyuJin.

And finally, we have the thing I’m most excited about, the Go-Kai Galleon Buster. Apparently, everybody puts their RangerKey into the Buster, and they fire it at the enemy. It comes with a Go-KaiRedKey.

Alright, that’s all for now, if anything else comes out, I’ll let you know.

Go-Kaiger Ep.19 Pics: Go-KaiDouble!

Alright, here are some pics from the most recent episode of Go-Kaiger, hope you enjoy them.

Here, Gai is “syncing up” with the treasure chest. I guess this is how they’re able to get the different RangerKeys from their belt buckles.

Doesn’t he just look like a kid on Christmas morning?

“Which one should I go with?”

They’re not talking here, just miming, but then this happens…

Well, Koichi Sakamoto did say that he wanted to keep working on Kamen Rider W, so now we have Go-KaiDouble! (To be clear, I’m the only one calling him that)

And later…

Here, he’s asking for help from all 15 Sixth Senshi.

Go-KaiSilver Gold Mode!

And here are some preview pics for episode 20:

And here are some pics from Toei’s website:

That’s all for now, details on all of this to come soon. I haven’t seen the episode yet, but I’m really looking forward to it now.

Go-Kaiger Go-Onger Tribute: What did they do to Speedor?

Thanks to a few unauthorized cameras, we were able to see and learn alot from this year’s Tokyo Toy Show, including a lot of upcoming stuff for Go-Kaiger. One of the big rumors we got out of the Go-Kaiger exhibit was the not-displayed Legend Machine for Go-Onger, which, according to the rumors so far, is an F1 Racer version of Engine Speedor. Here’s a sketch:

No one was actually allowed to bring cameras inside, so someone made this sketch of what it looks like and how it works. Go-KaiMachine Speedor is about 1.5 times bigger than the PatStriker, and can combine with either Go-KaiOh or Go-JyuJin. It’s also rumored that it will also double as the Turboranger‘s Grand Power, much like how Gaolion doubles for both the Gaoranger and Shinkenger Grand Powers, but this rumor is unconfirmed. Then again the whole of this rumor is still unconfirmed, so who knows for sure.

Aside from this, someone was able to take a pic of this:

It’s Go-KaiMachine FuuRaiMaru! The Grand Power for Hurricanger, FuuRaiMaru has can divie into five parts, with a special unfolding gimmick in the arms, and several shuriken-based weapons. And it also comes with a Seppujin helmet, prompting rumors that it can combine Go-KaiOh and Go-JyuJin into one larger robo.

And it looks like the Go-Kaigers are also getting a new weapon, a traditional Sentai Bazooka weapon, modeled after Go-KaiGalleon. It’s said to come with five RangerKeys.

That’s it for now, if I run into anything else, I’ll let you know!

Go-Kaiger Rumors and Confirmations: Much ‘ado about Go-Onger.

In the Super Sentai 199 movie, the Go-Kaigers received 11 Sentai Grand Powers, including the powers from Go-Onger. Well, supposedly, at the Tokyo Toy show, a couple of people were able to see the toy version of the grand power in question.

Before I say anything further, I just want to say that this is just a rumor, and there is a chance that it could prove to be false.

Supposedly. this Grand Power from Go-Onger turns out to be a new Legend Machine, a red race car modeled after Speedor, except that it doesn’t have any eyes, so technically it’s not an Engine. And the guy at the booth explained that it forms a new robot when combined with both Go-KaiOh and Go-JyuJin.

They also had Go-OnGold’s RangerKey and some Go-On Wings toys there with pirate markings on them, including two Engine Souls with pirate markings and the number 13 written on them.

That’s it for that rumor, now onto some confirmed news.

It has been confirmed the pop group G3 Princess will be reuniting the Go-Kaiger summer movie, Kaizoku Sentai Go-Kaiger THE MOVIE: The Flying Ghost Ship. The group was created for a single-episode appearance in Go-Onger. This confirmation came from Otonafami Magazine.

It was originally rumored that there would be an all-female sentai group appearing in a future episode of Go-Kaiger, and both Sugimoto Yumi and Oikawa Nao hinted to this in their own personal blogs in May. As of yet, their roles in the movie are unknown.

The idol group was originally formed for an episode of Go-Onger, and they released the single “G3 Princess Rap”, one of many variations of the Go-Onger ending theme.

Kaizoku Sentai Go-Kaiger THE MOVIE: The Flying Ghost Ship will premiere August 6th.

Go-Kaiger Rumor: G3 Princess Reunion?!

Okay, normally I don’t cover rumors, but this one has really been making it’s way around, and a lot of people are very excited about it, so I figured that it was only right that I cover it too.

Keep in mind that this is only a rumor, so don’t blame me if it doesn’t turn out to be true.

Supposedly, sometime this summer there will be an episode that has an all-female Sentai line-up. And currently it’s believed that Sugimoto Yumi, who played Suto Miu/Go-OnSilver will be staring in it. In fact, on her blog, she wrote that she did some filming the other day. And it also seems the Oikawa Nao, who played Kegareshia in Go-Onger, was filming something the same day, with people she had worked with in the past, at least according to her blog. Now, that doesn’t mean they might have been filming together, but it could be a strong indication that this rumor is true. And if so, does that mean that there is going to be a G3 Princess Reunion? And if so, will Luka and Ahim be in on the act too? Who knows, we’ll just have to wait and see. In the mean time, this new shadowed scan of Go-KaiSilver also popped up recently, so that means we’ll definitely be seeing him sometime in the next few weeks. Check it out:

I think it might be some kind of finisher, but I can’t say for sure. Tune in to find out!

Go-Kaiger 199 Movie and Upcoming episodes: Pics and Rumors Galore!

Hey, it’s almost the end of the month, so it’s last chance to get in this month’s new scans, announcements, and rumors before May and the next round of stuff starts pelting people in the head. So let’s get in what we still can!

The official movie poster for the Go-Kaiger Goseiger Super Sentai 199 Heroes movie (coming June 11th) and as you can see, there’s going to be just a boat-load of stuff in the movie. As the title says, there are going to be 199 past heroes in the movie, and it looks like everybody and their mama has been brought back to be in this movie. Between a mix of past actors returning and reprising their roles, a bunch of evil clones, and some of the biggest baddies to ever go up against a Sentai back from hell, this promises to be one big mindblowing, sensory-overloading blockbuster smash hit! And as more news comes out for this, more and more people seem to be coming out of the wood works and making an appearence in this film.

Of them is AkaRed! Knew he wasn’t dead! I wonder if this will confirm my theory that the AkaRed that was seen in Marvelous’ past was really someone else using a Mobirate with an AkaRed Ranger Key? Any way, he isn’t the only one back. Tsutomu Isobe (WolzardFire), Tetsu Inada (DekaMaster), Hochu Otsuka (Signalman), and Odawa Teruaki (NinjaRed/Hyuuga) have been confirmed as voiceover roles in the movie. And the list for the cast reprising their acting roles has just been expanded.

Makoto Naoya returns as Kaijo Tsuyoshi/Akaranger, Miyauchi Hiroshi as Banba Sokichi/Big One, Ohba Kenji as Oume Daigoro/DenjiBlue, Haruta Jyunichi as Kuroda Kanpei/GoggleBlack, Hagiwara Sayoko as Tachibana Rei/DynaPink, Sakamoto Ryosuke as Shiro Go/Red One, Satou Kenta as Hono Riki/RedTurbo, Wada Kenichi as Ryo/Ryu Ranger, and Kikuchi Mika as Umeko/DekaPink. And I’m pretty sure the total list is right there in the corner, but unfortunatly I can’t read Japanese. I can only guess that that’s the whole list. Anyway, here are some more movie screenshots.

And so far that’s what I have for the movie. Now let’s look at some stuff coming up in the series!

Yes, this is what ShinkenGo-KaiOh looks like, and it is sweet! That should be appearing in the upcoming episode, along with Shiba Kaoru fighting Joe for the ShinkenRed Key. And we get a look into Joe’s past and an in-depth look at the person who trained him.

Above is the person that trained Joe, named Sid, and turns out over the next couple of weeks that he is now Barizog. Joe will fight him in ep.12 trying to bring his memory back. It’s also rumored that he will be Go-KaiSilver. And this episode will also show Joe and Marvelous meeting and fighting together for the first time.

And that’s everything… no, wait, I forgot something… oh, yeah that’s right. It was THIS:

BOOM! That’s right! Zyuranger in Episode 11! That (hopefully) means that the Zyuranger tribute episode will be up soon. But it looks like the Carranger Tribute will be next, so who know’s how long we’ll have to wait for the Zyuranger tribute. However, in episode 14, it looks like an old friend of Marvelous mysteriously shows up, so who knows, could be a trap, could be Go-KaiSilver. Let’s watch and find out!

UPDATE: (4/29/11) Here we go, one last minute pic for the month of April.

Hopefully next month we’ll be able to see an actual, non-editted photo of this guy.

Go-Kaiger Gallery: Pics from the upcoming movie.

Here are some pics that have been making their way across the interwebs of the upcoming Go-Kaiger Goseiger Super Sentai 199 Hero Great Battle. Enjoy:

Ok, so some of these pics warrant an explanation. The first pic is actually a new spin on the Legendary War, showing that these other extra warriors also fought in it, though there’s no explanation as to when or how. The second is the team-up henshin formation of the two teams. The next three pics show both the Go-Kaigers the and Goseigers actually fighting past senshi. No explanation as to why yet, but something will probably pop out of the rumor mill sometime soon. As you can see, Go-KaiPink is shooting at BattleFrance and BattleKenya, SuperGoseiRed is taking one the four primary members of JAKQ, and Go-KaiRed is fighting various red senshi, including MegaRed and BoukenRed (and I think that might be GoRed just outside the picture, it looks like the sidearm they used in that series). The next two pics are also related, as the Go-Kaigers and Goseigers will be split up at the start of the main fight into other “spaces”, much like in what happened in Shinkenger Vs. Go-onger. Alata and Marvelous are sent to a space filled with Biibis and actually go up against a revived Burajira (what does it take to kill that guy?). Moune and Luka (seen henshining together) end up in a space similar to Edo period Japan, with Agri and Joe it seems. It’s unknown what will happen to the others. The next pic shows Alata stealing the Goseiger Ranger Keys, although most of the blogs say that he’s just stealing GoseiKnight’s Key. In the beginning of the movie, the Goseigers steal their Keys from the Go-Kaigers, which gives them back their powers. The next two pics are two of the former enemies that will be revived in this movie. The first is Black Cross King, Black Cross Fuhrer as he use to be called, the enemy of Goranger, who is back from hell to take revenge on the Super Sentai teams, and revives other past enemies of Super Sentai to fight with him. The next is a revived Burajira, who is now calling himself “Fukkatsu no Kyuuseishu no Burajira” (Revival Messiah Burajira), and he now sports the symbol of the Black Cross Army. There are also rumors that Yogoshimakuritain of Go-onger and Dagon of Magiranger will also be revived, along with others yet to be named. And the last pic is of the Go-Kaigers and Goseigers together using the new “Super Sentai Bazooka”, not much word on where or how they get it, or who gives it to them.

That’s it for now, if I find out anything else, I’ll be sure to let you know.

-M.C., the Quantum twin.

UPDATE: It seems that, at least according to the rumors, that the reason they are fighting these other senshi is because Black Cross stole the treasure chest that had the all the Ranger Keys, and used those powers to make evil versions of all these senshi. But like anything else, it’s just a rumor for now.

UPDATE: (3/24/11) Some more pics have surfaced let’s take a look.

The first shows that Satoru/BoukenRed, Saki/Go-onYellow, Chiaki/ShinkenGreen, and Genta/ShinkenGold will be making guest appearenes in the movie (is it just me, or does Chiaki look really short in that pic). The second has Go-KaiPink and GoseiPink going up against 11 past pink senshi [clockwise from left, OhPink, GaoWhite, TimePink, GoPink, MagiPink, BoukenPink, DekaPink, PinkFive(Bioman), MegaPink, WhiteSwan(Jetman), Houou Ranger(Dairanger)], enforcing the rumor that they will go up against evil versions of the past senshi in the movie. If anything else pops up, I’ll be sure to let you know.

UPDATE: (3/26/11) New pic for episode 7, where it is confirmed that Jan/GekiRed will be appearing, along with Master Xia Fu. There may be others, but I’m not sure.

More to come!

Go-KaiSilver Debut: Meet the newest member of the crew.

The sixth senshi for Go-Kaiger has been confirmed (sorry I’m a day late, I got trapped in the Tokuverse, I’ll tell you later). This sixth senshi will be Go-kaiSilver. Here are some pics:

Go-KaiSilver will basically be able to change into any of the past major sixth rangers. At the moment, these include (in sequential order) Dragon Ranger, Kiba Ranger, King Ranger, MegaSilver, TimeFire, GaoSilver, Shurikenger, AbareKiller, DekaBreak, MagiShine, BoukenSilver, Go-onGold and Go-onSilver, ShinkenGold, and GoseiKnight. He can change into any of these past senshi using his Go-KaiCellular, a device very similar to the Mobirates, but looks and works differently. Pic here:

When Go-KaiSilver changes, he places a variation of his RangerKey into the Go-KaiCellular, pushes the Go-KaiSilver icon on the number pad, and hit s button on top of the device, where an anchor-shaped scanner reads the figure and changes him into Go-KaiSilver. The device also comes with an anchor shaped key that inserted into the bottom that allows him to change into Go-KaiSilver Gold Form.

While no one really knows if this second form will give him any extra abilities, it does look cool. In gold form, he will have special armor that includes a chest plate decorated with the helmets of the previous sixth senshi he can change into, and his helmet design changes as well. You can almost make out the kanji for gold in the visor design.

So, first impressions. In his standard silver form, his appearance is very reminiscent of BoukenSilver, and not just because their both silver, either. Because all of the Go-Kaiger have gold inlay decorating their costumes, his costume doesn’t seem that different from the others. The only real difference seems to be in the design of the helmet, the cuffs, and the collar and seams of the “jacket”. Not to mention the fact that his visor is a gold color instead of the standard black. In his special gold form, his appearance is like a cross between Kamen Rider Decade’s Complete Form and Zuban from Boukenger. A lot of people are surprised to see this extra form, but I think it’s fitting. Between these two forms, his appearance covers the two main types of sixth senshi: the kind that have a slightly altered outfit, and the kind that have an armored, highly decorated outfit. Between the differences in his outfit and the anchor motif, this makes me wonder whether this is supposed to be a pirate character or not. I’m almost getting a sailor vibe from him.

A number of people have voiced questions and complaints over the choices of the sixth senshi. The main ones are that Mask X-1, who is the first official sixth senshi despite a one episode appearence, wasn’t included, neither was Bull Black or DekaMaster. And some people think that GoseiKnight shouldn’t have been included because he technically isn’t a normal senshi, although I think he should be, as much time as he’s spent fighting with the Goseiger, and the fact that he has a name that actually has a Goseiger title, and not some off-the-wall name. Plus, there are a host of other senshi that weren’t included as sixth senshi, and a number of non-sentai and non-senshi helpers that haven’t even been acknowledged, so there’s a very, VERY slight chance that there could be either a seventh senshi or some kind of special helper that will take the place of these extra senshi. My only concern is why the buttons for Go-onGold and Go-onSilver are the same button? Does he magically split and change into Go-on Wings?(It would be so awesome if he did) Seriously, what are they going to do about that?

And as for the Go-KaiCellular, it’s a little unconventional. Instead of the staple flip phone design that’s been in use since the first cell phone changer, they went with a smartphone-esqe design. I would compare it to a Nokia phone, but it has a much wider “screen”, kind of like the Droid Pro. I’ll admit though, while the concept is unique, I’m not fond of the button design. Because it has all of the senshi he can change into on the buttons, and doesn’t use the same RangerKey system the others do, he’s very limited to the number of senshi he can change into. Overall, I like the phone, and the concept.

I hope the character behind the mask is just as impressive as the costume, otherwise I will be beyond disappointed. Quite frankly, if they make him into that strong, mysterious silent type, and not some flamboyant, over-the top character, then I’m just going to have a very long talk with the writers, producers and directors at Toei. And while I’m there, I may just have to bring up the subject of net neutrality and fair use. I honestly can’t think of anyone with the gall to upload any upcoming episodes of the series onto YouTube. Somebody get on that right now!

UPDATE: (2/25/11) Just found a pic of his main weapon, Go-KaiSpear.

It has three modes, a trident mode, a blaster mode, and a special anchor-spear mode that he uses in his Gold Form. It looks like it will also come with the Dragon Ranger Key (Zyuranger/MMPR Green Ranger). Let’s keep an eye out for this!

UPDATE: (3/7/11) Found this pic just now, seems they will release sixth ranger toys with the Go-KaiSilver stuff.

And if you’ll notice, they are going to release ShinkenOh and Daizyujin/MMPR Megazord. So can’t wait for that, even if I probably won’t buy it.

Will you look at that: Gender Reassignment in Go-Kaiger

Now I know what your thinking from the title, “Holy Crap! What kind of show are they making?”, but calm down, it’s not that kind of gender reassignment. Although now that you mention it, who are you to judge?! But seriously, no, it’s not that at all. This has more to do with the speculation over how many members Go-Kaiger will end up with. You see, when the rumors about Go-Kaiger started popping up, a good deal of them dealt with the possibility that there may be more than one senshi with the same color, like say, a male and female yellow, or a male and female blue. Other rumors included the possibility that there would be a number of extra senshi that would have a wide spectrum of colors in order to fill the color gap, such as the Go-KaiBlack rumors. But, according to recently released photos and screenshots, it seems that neither of these rumors were ever true.

There are two main sources that put the final nails in the coffin for these rumors. The first is the released footage from the Goseiger Vs. Shinkenger movie, that shows the entire squadron changing into red senshi from the previous five seasons. That’s a huge indicator that show that clearly any one of them can turn into any previous senshi. The second source comes from a magazine (publication unknown to myself)that has both a two-page spread where each of the senshi are surround by all the previous senshi they will change into in the show AND a foldout poster that feature them in the center and images of the team changed into previous teams organized around the poster. And let me put it this way, there are a number of them who are wearing skirts now that weren’t before, and there are even a couple missing skirts.

Well, here’s the skinny of how the teams will be worked out. Basically, all past yellow senshi are now female, all past blue are male, and Go-KaiGreen will mostly be changing back-and-forth between green and black. Now it’s not completely strict to that. Go-KaiPink, for example, will change into Black Bison from Liveman, KuwagataRaijer, GekiChopper, and Go-OnBlack. Go-KaiYellow will also take the role of Big One from JAKQ, and ChangeMermaid. And Go-KaiGreen will also change into KabutoRaijer. And in two cases the full team isn’t there. SunVulcan only has three senshi, and Abaranger doesn’t include AbareKiller. The only real consistency is that, at least on that poster, red is always male. But considering the possibility that any of them could be any one of those past senshi, who knows what could happen!

But, at the end of the day, who can really say for certain what will happen, and who cares? As long as they do a decent job with it, and they’re able to get past the problems that have shown up in other series that have done the same thing already (although I would like to say that I liked Kamen Rider Decade, even if some people absolutely hated it). And besides, when they’re not past senshi, they’re pirates, and pirates are always cool, mostly.

Argh!
