Seven Legendary Riders in Movie War MEGAMAX: Showa Rider KITAAAAA!!!!

Yesterday, we got news of two brand new Riders that will appear in Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider Fourze & OOO Movie Wars MEGAMAX. Today, we have news of a few old Riders appearing in the movie, as well as more info on Nadeshiko and Poseidon.

While the focus of the story will be on Fourze and OOO, it has been confirmed that seven Rider from the past will also be appearing in the movie. Namely, the Seven Legendary Kamen Riders Ichigo, Nigo, V3, Riderman, X, Amazon, and Stronger. No word on where they’ll appear in the movie or what role they’ll play in the story.

For Fourze’s part of the movie, the plot will mainly surround a love story between Gentaro and Misaki Nadeshiko, a hish chool girl whose able to transform into Kamen Rider Nadeshiko. She want to fight alongside Fourze, but who exactly is she?…

For OOO’s part, they encounter a mysterious young man named Miharu, who is able to transform into Kamen Rider Poseidon. Like OOO, Poseidon uses three Core Medals, the Shark, Whale, and Wolffish Medals. And from the look of this scan, I’d say that he’s OOO first evil Rider.

Well, at the very least, we’re looking at a movie with the total of 13 Riders (minimum), with what will probably be a very big ending. And yet, no one outside of Japan will be able to see it until next year. Nothing worse that delayed awesomeness.

UPDATE: We have a a bit more detailed background on the two parts of the movie, as well as on the two new Riders.

Fourze’s part of the movie will be the story of Gentaro’s first love. And who is this lady that managed to steal his heart? Why it’s Misaki Nadeshiko, a.k.a. Kamen Rider Nadeshiko. The main focus of the story will be on Nadeshiko’s identity, and on what happens with Gentaro’s first love (some people just went “Aww”, other just said “bleh”).

More detailed images of the suit show the changes that went in to stylize the suit for a more female appearance. The suit has a sailor-style collar connected to solar ribbons, a belt similar to the FourzeDriver, but it only has the two arm slots (so far for Rocket and Radar Switches), they seem to have swapped out the orange in the Fourze outfit for blue, and it’s rather form-fitting, which is an entirely different discussion. And her version of the FourzeDriver doesn’t seem to have the big lever on the side, so how will she henshin or perform a Limit Break? Hopefully, it won’t be some “magigirl”-style transformation, otherwise I’ll have to have a few words with Koichi-san.

And for the OOO part, the story seems to center around the arrival of this new Rider, Kamen Rider Poseidon. A mysterious young man named Miharu changes into Poseidon and challenges Eiji to a duel. Since Eiji has no way of transforming, since all of the original Core Medals were destroyed, Date steps in as Proto-Birth to fight him, but then the picture above happens…

Poseidon is very similarly modelled after OOO, he has a modified version of the OOODriver with three aquatic-themed Core Medals, his head, torso and legs matching the corresponding colors, and with the designs from the Medals on his chest. The designs on the Core Medals are of a Shark, Whale, and Bering Wolffish. This is solely my opinion, but he does remind me in many ways of a Maori warrior, between the theme of the Medals, the look of the designs on the Medals, and the odd-looking staff.

But his appearance begs many questions. How does he have these unique Core Medals? How does he have ANY Core Medals? And how will Eiji be able to defeat him if he can’t become OOO?

Kamen Rider Fourze Scans and Climax Heroes Announcement: Still hasn’t left the Launch Pad, but has already taken off!

Well, like the title says, we haven’t seen much of anything involving Fourze, but he’s already all over the place! Here, we have some scans from upcoming episodes of Kamen Rider Fourze, and an official announcement for his first videogame, Kamen Rider Climax Heroes Fourze. Well, someone’s been busy!

First, here are the latest scans, taken from Figure-Oh magazine:

For those of you expecting some form of context for these pics, I don’t have any.

Onto the videogame announcement!

After the success of last year’s title, Namco Bandai has announced a new title for it’s Climax Heroes game. The new installment, released for Kamen Rider’s 40th Anniversary, will be called Kamen Rider Climax Heroes Fourze, and will star the titular Rider himself.

In addition to last year’s roster, which included a majority of the Heisei Riders, this latest installment will include new characters, namely Kamen Riders Ichigo, Nigo, V3, Amazon, Black and Black RX. Also included is Shadowmoon as one of the bosses in story mode. Gotta show the Showa Riders a little love every now and then.

New features have also been announced for this latest installment, the first revealed being a new 2-on-2 VS Stage. More to be revealed as we approach the release date.

Speaking of which, the game will be released on the PSP, sometime this winter.         (price TBA)

Well, that’s it for Fourze news right now, if anything else pops up, I’ll be sure to let you know.

New S.H. FiguArts figures for 2011-2012: Or, how Bandai is truly, truly evil.

So look at what the experts in the art of wallet draining have come out with now, a new batch of S.H. FiguArts figures!

These new pics come from the Tamashii Festival 2011, showcasing Bandai’s and Tamashii Nation’s new line of S.H. FiguArts figures. First up was the complete S.H. FiguArts Kaizoku Sentai Go-Kaiger! That’s right, all five Go-Kaigers. Go-KaiRed will be released this September, with Go-KaiBlue and Go-KaiGreen coming out in October, though no word on the release date for Go-KaiYellow or Go-KaiPink. Each figure will come with different parts to build the full brifge to the Go-KaiGalleon, and each will cost 3500 yen.

Also up are the S.H. FiguArt Tiger & Bunny collection. I don’t know a whole lot about the new anime, so I’ll let GekiDan of Jefusion explain:

To be released in September and October respectively, are SH FiguArts Wild Tiger and Barnaby Brooks Jr. for 4500 yen each. Future releases include SH FiguArts Rock Bison, Sky High, Fire Emblem, Lightning Kid, Blue Rose and Origami Cyclone; FiguArts Zero Kotetsu Kaburagi and Barnaby Brooks Jr.; and SH FiguArts version of their motorbikes.

Thanks GekiDan. And now onto some stuff I’m a bit more familiar with:

I haven’t just nerdgasmed, I’ve toku-gasmed!

Anyway, we have S.H.FiguArt figures for (left-right, top-bottom): Kamen Rider V3, Kamen Rider Eternal and Eternal Red Flare, Kamen Rider Den-O Climax form, Kamen Rider Birth Birthday form, Kamen Rider OOO TaJaBata combo, Lost Ankh with BuraKaWani combo, ShinkenRed and ShinkenRed Kaoru, GoseiKnight, Fuwa Juzo, Kamen Riders Ouja and Zolda, Vegeta, and Mirror Knight from the Ultraman Zero movies. Here are a few close ups:

Wait, is that Mezool and Gamel in the back?

I’ll admit, this one is a bit of a surprise to me, not that they did it, but that they skipped over everyone else (except for GoseiRed).

Definitely not surprised by this one!

WIN!

But, it wasn’t exclusively S.H. FiguArts at Tamashii Festival, we also found out about this gem!:

Yes, it’s the Super Robot Chogokin Dekaranger Robo! The articulated, diecast model of the main mecha for Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger. It comes with (as far as we know) the Signal Cannon and Judgement Sword. Price and release date to be announced.

That’s it so far from the Tamashii Festival, I’m sure there’s still plenty more bank-account-draining stuff to come, so stay keep checking back.

Kamen Rider GIRLS’ Kamen Rider V3 Cover art revealed.

Here’s the cover art for the new single from the Kamen Rider GIRLS, “Kamen Rider V3”:

Is it just me, or does Kamen Rider v3 look like he’s asking himself “Why did I agree to do this?”

Aside from this, the Kamen Rider GIRLS will also be singing covers to other popular Rider theme songs. The single drops August 8th, and will be available in CD Only and CD+DVD Editions. The DVD includes the music video for the single, which stars the GIRLS, V3 himself, and professional wrestler and avid Kamen Rider fan Hiroshi Tanahashi.

Kamen Rider GIRLS Kamen Rider V3 Preview

Here’s a preview for the Kamen Rider GIRLS’ latest single, their cover of the Kamen Rider V3 theme song. Let’s listen in before we make any judgements:

It started out pretty well, very good build-up, and then they started to sing….

I’ll let you be the judge. This latest single comes out August 8th, along with a new album where they cover other famous Kamen Rider theme songs.

We’re boned.

Kamen Rider GIRLS Second Single Reveal: WHY????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! D:

Okay, let’s see if we can get through this without gagging. The Kamen Rider pop idol group, Kamen Rider GIRLS has announced the release of their newest single, and as a “special bonus”, the wrestler and self-proclaimed Kamen Rider fan Hiroshi Takahashi will appear in the music video along with Kamen Rider V3. MY sincerest condolences to Kamen Rider V3.

The new single will be a rock cover of the classic theme song, “Tatakae! Kamen Rider V3”, originally performed by Miyauchi Hiroshi, who played Kamen Rider V3/Kazami Shiro. In the video, Takahashi will fight alongside Kamen Rider V3 and the GIRLS against Destron.

The shoot took place yesterday (June 17th), and Takahashi expressed how much of a dream come true it was for him to star in the video and fight alongside Kamen Rider V3.

Aside from this single, the Kamen Rider GIRLS will make covers for other Rider theme songs, which they will release in an album due out in a Cd and CD+DVD (with free poster) release on August 8th. I’ll admit that their first single, the cover of the original Kamen Rider theme, wasn’t half bad. But this just seems like a disaster waiting to happen.
