Go-Kaiger Episode Summaries: Ohranger Tribute AND Basco two-parter? Sweet.

The Liveman tribute episode is just around the corner, and with these next two episodes, well meet the four tribute episodes quota set for this month! Check out what’s happening for the Ohranger tribute episode, the next appearance of Basco, and the creation of the Go-KaiGalleon Buster!

Episode 31 – Impact!! Secret Strategy
Former Ohranger’s Momo aka OhPink appears before Gokaigers and says that she will give them Ohranger’s Ultimate Power.

However, she is also hiding some secret plan. At the same time, former OhRed, Gorou, comes in contact with Basco. He claims that he will give up their Ultimate Power in exchange for the exact location of Zangayck’s flagship. There’s something else to his goal as well.

Episode 32: N/A
Gokaigers get beaten up by Basco. Marvelous and Joe undertake special training with their swords and guns. As Doc attempts to create an even more stronger weapon, Zangyack attacks. Marvelous and his crew are forced to return fire, but all of their attacks are repelled.

Episode 32 is also rumored to feature both the Go-KaiGalleon Buster, and special appearances from the former ChangeDragon, YellowFlash, and RedMask.

Looks like quite the exciting story arc coming up, wouldn’t you agree?

Go-Kaiger Episode Summaries: And now we’re up to FOUR Tribute Episodes for Spetember!

Wow, somehow they just keep adding up! The newest episode summaries have come in, and it looks like there’s going to be four tribute episodes in September. That’s just a solid month of back-to-back tribute episodes. I guess since we’re about halfway through the story already (even though it still doesn’t feel like it), we’re starting to move into a period where they’ll be focused more on getting these tribute episodes out of the way and collecting the remaining Grand Powers. I let you judge for yourselves from these episode summaries:

Episode 28: Wings are Eternal – 9/4
“Mera Mera~ to Hi no Tori Jyaaku na Teki wo Uchitaosu (Burning Burning~The Phoenix will defeat the evil enemy) !”
Gai helps the Pirates to interpret Navi’s prediction. Accordingly, they start searching for Jetman, when a man on a motorcycle appears before them and steals Joe’s Mobirates. The man is Black Condor, and he tells them to stop looking for Jetman! Just what is he after!?

Episode 29: Abare Seven Change New Combination – 9/11
The former AbareBlue of AbaRanger, Yukito Sanjou (Shou Tomita), appears with his wife and secretary, Emiri Sanjou (Michi Nishijima), the self-proclaimed “former AbarePink.” Ahim transforms seven times, could one of these changes be….AbarePink?!!

Action Commander Daiyaru appears. This episode was also noted to feature Ahim and Gai pretending to be a couple. This is also believed to be the episode where they will fully unlock Abaranger‘s Grand Power to form GoJyuGo-KaiOh.

Episode 30: The Friend’s Soul – 9/18
Liveman’s former Yellow, Joh Ohara (Kazuhiko Nishimura), appears before Joe, who has acquired Barizorg’s blueprints. Together, they head for Academia to try to find a way to turn Barizorg back into a human!

Great Scientist Zaien will be this episode’s villain.

Episode 31: N/A – 9/25
OhRanger’s former OhRed, Gorou Hoshino (Masaru Shishido), tries to get in contact with Basco, while OhPink, Momo Maruo (Tamao Satou), gets in contact with Gokaiger!?

So, to sum up the summaries, we’ve got tribute episodes for: Jetman, Abaranger, Liveman, and Ohranger. And I thought my schedule was going to be busy next month.

Red Mask Comeback: Is Takeru returning in Go-Kaiger?

Well, not that long ago, some pics surfaced on Facebook showing Georgette Inaba and her son posing with the Go-Kaiger cast and crew. Inaba is the wife of “former” actor Kaizu Ryousuke, who is best known for his role as Takeru/Red Mask in Hikari Sentai Maskman. Ket me show you the pictures first, so you get an idea of where the post is headed.

The following pics are taken from Orends:Range:

There are two very interesting things about these pics, 1) they were all taken by Kaizu, raising questions about a possible Maskman tribute episode, and whether or not Kaizu has come out of retirement from acting to take up his old role in this new series, and 2) Go-KaiYellow is the subject of three of these pics, with two featuring Ichimichi Mao and one with the Go-KaiYellow suit actor. Either this possible tribute episode has something to do with Luka, or someone really likes Ichimichi Mao. For the sake of this post, let’s go with the former.

And while we’re talking about rumors, it’s rumored that Izumi Shuihei (Domon/TimeYellow of Timeranger) and Satou Tamao (Momo Maruo/OhPink of Ohranger) will appear in their respective tribute episodes. Not every tribute episode has to have a Red Senshi star in it. 😛

Go-KaiSilver Debut: Meet the newest member of the crew.

The sixth senshi for Go-Kaiger has been confirmed (sorry I’m a day late, I got trapped in the Tokuverse, I’ll tell you later). This sixth senshi will be Go-kaiSilver. Here are some pics:

Go-KaiSilver will basically be able to change into any of the past major sixth rangers. At the moment, these include (in sequential order) Dragon Ranger, Kiba Ranger, King Ranger, MegaSilver, TimeFire, GaoSilver, Shurikenger, AbareKiller, DekaBreak, MagiShine, BoukenSilver, Go-onGold and Go-onSilver, ShinkenGold, and GoseiKnight. He can change into any of these past senshi using his Go-KaiCellular, a device very similar to the Mobirates, but looks and works differently. Pic here:

When Go-KaiSilver changes, he places a variation of his RangerKey into the Go-KaiCellular, pushes the Go-KaiSilver icon on the number pad, and hit s button on top of the device, where an anchor-shaped scanner reads the figure and changes him into Go-KaiSilver. The device also comes with an anchor shaped key that inserted into the bottom that allows him to change into Go-KaiSilver Gold Form.

While no one really knows if this second form will give him any extra abilities, it does look cool. In gold form, he will have special armor that includes a chest plate decorated with the helmets of the previous sixth senshi he can change into, and his helmet design changes as well. You can almost make out the kanji for gold in the visor design.

So, first impressions. In his standard silver form, his appearance is very reminiscent of BoukenSilver, and not just because their both silver, either. Because all of the Go-Kaiger have gold inlay decorating their costumes, his costume doesn’t seem that different from the others. The only real difference seems to be in the design of the helmet, the cuffs, and the collar and seams of the “jacket”. Not to mention the fact that his visor is a gold color instead of the standard black. In his special gold form, his appearance is like a cross between Kamen Rider Decade’s Complete Form and Zuban from Boukenger. A lot of people are surprised to see this extra form, but I think it’s fitting. Between these two forms, his appearance covers the two main types of sixth senshi: the kind that have a slightly altered outfit, and the kind that have an armored, highly decorated outfit. Between the differences in his outfit and the anchor motif, this makes me wonder whether this is supposed to be a pirate character or not. I’m almost getting a sailor vibe from him.

A number of people have voiced questions and complaints over the choices of the sixth senshi. The main ones are that Mask X-1, who is the first official sixth senshi despite a one episode appearence, wasn’t included, neither was Bull Black or DekaMaster. And some people think that GoseiKnight shouldn’t have been included because he technically isn’t a normal senshi, although I think he should be, as much time as he’s spent fighting with the Goseiger, and the fact that he has a name that actually has a Goseiger title, and not some off-the-wall name. Plus, there are a host of other senshi that weren’t included as sixth senshi, and a number of non-sentai and non-senshi helpers that haven’t even been acknowledged, so there’s a very, VERY slight chance that there could be either a seventh senshi or some kind of special helper that will take the place of these extra senshi. My only concern is why the buttons for Go-onGold and Go-onSilver are the same button? Does he magically split and change into Go-on Wings?(It would be so awesome if he did) Seriously, what are they going to do about that?

And as for the Go-KaiCellular, it’s a little unconventional. Instead of the staple flip phone design that’s been in use since the first cell phone changer, they went with a smartphone-esqe design. I would compare it to a Nokia phone, but it has a much wider “screen”, kind of like the Droid Pro. I’ll admit though, while the concept is unique, I’m not fond of the button design. Because it has all of the senshi he can change into on the buttons, and doesn’t use the same RangerKey system the others do, he’s very limited to the number of senshi he can change into. Overall, I like the phone, and the concept.

I hope the character behind the mask is just as impressive as the costume, otherwise I will be beyond disappointed. Quite frankly, if they make him into that strong, mysterious silent type, and not some flamboyant, over-the top character, then I’m just going to have a very long talk with the writers, producers and directors at Toei. And while I’m there, I may just have to bring up the subject of net neutrality and fair use. I honestly can’t think of anyone with the gall to upload any upcoming episodes of the series onto YouTube. Somebody get on that right now!

UPDATE: (2/25/11) Just found a pic of his main weapon, Go-KaiSpear.

It has three modes, a trident mode, a blaster mode, and a special anchor-spear mode that he uses in his Gold Form. It looks like it will also come with the Dragon Ranger Key (Zyuranger/MMPR Green Ranger). Let’s keep an eye out for this!

UPDATE: (3/7/11) Found this pic just now, seems they will release sixth ranger toys with the Go-KaiSilver stuff.

And if you’ll notice, they are going to release ShinkenOh and Daizyujin/MMPR Megazord. So can’t wait for that, even if I probably won’t buy it.
