Go-Kaiger Scans: Engine Machalcon and Go-KaiGalleon Buster in Action!

It’s that time again. New magazine scans are making there way around, and with them a new set rumors and spoilers to go around. This time, we have new scans of the Go-KaiGalleon Buster, and we have some real pics of the Go-Onger Grand Power, Engine Machalcon. Let’s get to it!

Here’s the Go-KaiGalleon Buster. Hakase created it using the Ohranger‘s Grand Power, modeling it after the Galleon.

The Buster’s finisher is called “Rising Strike”, and is activated by inserting five metallic Go-Kaiger RangerKeys (don’t ask me why it’s specifically metallic keys). And as you can see, the others are supporting Go-KaiRed as he blows away the poor schmuck in the top-left corner.

Next we have Engine Machalcon, the 13th Engine and Go-Onger‘s Grand Power. According to this, Machalcon is somehow the son of Speedor and BearV (yeah, I don’t even want to think about how that would be possible).

Using the Go-Onger RangerKeys, Machalcon can combine with Go-KaiOh to form Go-OnGo-KaiOh, a formation similar to GaoGo-KaiOh. It will debut in the Go-Onger tribute episode.

Speaking if which, we have a couple of rumors about that episode and other future episodes, which you can check out here:

  • Two Gaiark survivors appear. Barbaric Preservation Chief Chirakashizkey and 2nd Pollution President Babatchean. The Go-Onger tribute will last for two episodes.
  • Following that is the Kanzen GokaiOh episode. It was mentioned that it  will appear in a two-parter. It is not sure if it will appear on its own  story arc or in the Go-Onger 2-parter.
  • Emperor Ackdos Gil sends a tide turning weapon to his son. Walz Gil heads to the front lines to test it.
  • After being pushed into the corner by the Zangyack, the Gokaiger use their own great power to form Kanzen GokaiOh.
  • Waltz Gil is killed in this battle; Barizorg is defeated by Joe and dies; and, Damaras takes Waltz Gil’s corpse.

Wow, if even half of that’s true that would almost completely change the direction of the show. I guess we’ll have to wait and see how it really happens.

Fourze’s Elek State Revealed: Okay, slightly better looking than I thought.

When the first toy catalogue pics started to surface, we got a glimpse of Fourze’s first new State, his Elek State. And now we have live shots of his new Elek State, and boy, isn’t it interesting. Using the #10 Astro Switch (name unknown), he can activate this new State, where his eyes turn blue and his suit is covered in gold mesh, similar to what they use to insulate electrical systems on space craft (seriously, they use huge sheets of gold foil for insulation).

In this State, Fourze can use the Module “Billy the Rod”, which is a big electric rod for all intents and purposes (and yes, it’s a rod, not a sword, because it has no real tip).

The toy catalogues originally set the release date for the toys for this new State in October, so don’t expect to see him until then. Although, since they are on Astro Switch #9, I wouldn’t be surprised to see this at the start of next month, possibly after the Queen Festival arc is over. 🙂 We’ll just have to see if anything comes up.

Go-Kaiger Mega-Post: Catching up on some slippery Pirates!

For those of you that happen to read other blogs, you know that I have gotten very far behind on catching up with the latest news about everything and anything. Well, to make up for that, I’m going to post EVERYTHING I’ve found Go-Kaiger-related in one super-sized Mega-Post! Expect lengthy descriptions and oodles of pics from this point on.

Starting with the oldest stories first, we have an interview with Wakamatsu Toshihide, who plays Yuki Gai/Black Condor, originally in Jetman but most recently in the newest episode of Go-Kaiger, talking about how writer Inoue Toshiki talked him into taking up his old role for this new series (note: this was translated from a Japanese magazine interview, I had nothing to do with the translating, so don’t complain to me about inproper English) :

I got phone call from Toshiki Inoue in the very early morning… well as is usual for him (laugh). He said “I’ll write script so appear on Gokaiger as Gai Yuki”. I’ve heard about “Gokaiger” so I knew what he told about, but I couldn’t believe what he said, because Gai already passed away.

The story of Gai’s death in Jetman was made mainly by Inoue and me at a meeting where we drank much(laugh). So I was against Gai’s being alive and I told so. Then he said “I understand you. Believe in me. If you don’t appear, I will never write.” So I replied to him with saying “I’ll leave everything to you.”

After reading the script, I called Inoue and heard him saying “It’s nice story for you isn’t it?” (laugh) I myself thought I’m too outstanding well in the story so I felt a kind of guilty for being a leading character in Gokaiger. At the same time I felt Inoue’s having a special place in his heart for Gai.

At the point I received the offer I called Hirofumi Ishigaki, Action Director in Gokaiger. He acted Yellow Owl in Jetman. I asked him if it’s possible to make Mr. Ohfuji act Brack Condor.

When I was in fitting session, I got welcome news. Mr. Nakazawa, the director said Ohfuji accepted the offer of Black Condor. Other staffs also thought that Black Condor must be acted by Ohfuji. That’s my great pleasure.

To answer your first question, Mr. Ohfuji is the original suit actor for Black Condor, so that makes the performance of Black Condor in battle that much more authentic. Which makes it that much cooler overall.

Next up, we have an official announcement for a new Go-Kaiger game from Namco Bandai, this time for the Nintendo DS, entitled Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: Atsumete Henshin! 35 Sentai!

The game’s genre is “Narikiri Treasure Hunting”, and you do just that. Basically, you go around the world finding, collecting, and using RangerKeys in battle. Each level has it’s own RangerKey, and along the way you have to fight Zangyack and collect the RangerKey on the map as soon as possible. The game also uses the stylus, making battles that much more simpler. The game will be released November 17th for 5040 yen.

I know it’s only been two console games so far, but that’s actually quite a lot in such a short span of time, amd whe you include other non-console games, then that number really jumps up.

Speaking of which, Namco Bandai has also announced a new app game for Go-Kaiger, called Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger ~ Let’s GokaiGalleon ~!

In this new game, you can play as Go-KaiGalleon, fighting against Zangyack spaceships. You even have the ability to play as Go-KaiOh!

Here’s the official iTunes description:

Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger comes to iPhone! Blast away meteoroids and enemy spacecraft that threaten the Gokai Galleon on its voyage towards Earth! Control the action with simple taps and flicks as you feverishly try to earn your best score!

Controls: Lock on to enemies on the screen by tapping them. You can lock on to multiple enemies at the same time. Next, flick the screen to attack all the enemies you are locked on to simultaneously! Tilt the device left and right to dodge enemy attacks.

Hints: Multiply your score locking on to multiple enemies and defeating them all at once. Pirate marks pile up on the lower left side of the screen, according to the number of enemies defeated at once. Once you have eight marks, you can transform into Gokaioh. You are invincible while transformed, giving you the opportunity to boost your score even more!

Sounds simple and easy to play, and it’s only 170 yen. It’s available for iPhone 3GS & 4, and iPod Touch 3 and up. You’ll need a Japanese iTunes account to purchase it, but luckily for you, Jefusion happens to have a post on how to set up one.

Next we have some interesting info on a “discarded” background story for Don Dogoier/Hakase/Go-KaiGreen. It comes from an interview with Go-Kaiger lead wirter Arakawa Naruhisa by Hyper Hobby magazine. Here’s one background story they considered for the good doctor:

(Arakawa) “Don would be a scared boy who saw his scientist father die in a laboratory after the Zangyack attacked and started a fire, leaving him traumatized.” In addition, Arakawa said that he wouldn’t be “a special person like Ahim”, that he doesn’t come from some high rank in society, that he is just an average person (comparitively speaking).

Well, I’m not sure if some version of this story is used, but it would explain a lot about him. What do you think about it?

Anyway, let’s move on to some showroom toy pics featuring Go-KaiMachine Machalcon and the Go-KaiGalleon Buster:

This is the next Go-KaiMachine, Engine Machalcon. He is the Go-Onger‘s Grand power, and as you can see below, he can be used to combine Go-KaiOh and Go-JyuJin into a single combined mecha!

And here we (finally) have Go-Kaiger‘s cannon weapon, the Go-KaiGalloen Buster. As you can see, it works like other cannon weapons, where everybody puts their RangerKeys in and KABOOM! Freshly toasted Zangyack.

Wait, what’s that at the top?

Hmm, it’s talking about glowing 7 different LED light colors, which every weapon toy does, but it’s also showing seven RangerKeys, including a blacked-out one over the purple circle. Could this possibly be a new Go-Kaiger? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

And finally, we have the screen shots from the newest episode of Go-Kaiger! Check out Black Condor’s return:

New Super Hero Time!

And next week:

There. now we’re all completely caught up on all things Go-Kaiger. If anything else comes up, I;m putting it in a new post. 😛

Red Mask Comeback: Is Takeru returning in Go-Kaiger?

Well, not that long ago, some pics surfaced on Facebook showing Georgette Inaba and her son posing with the Go-Kaiger cast and crew. Inaba is the wife of “former” actor Kaizu Ryousuke, who is best known for his role as Takeru/Red Mask in Hikari Sentai Maskman. Ket me show you the pictures first, so you get an idea of where the post is headed.

The following pics are taken from Orends:Range:

There are two very interesting things about these pics, 1) they were all taken by Kaizu, raising questions about a possible Maskman tribute episode, and whether or not Kaizu has come out of retirement from acting to take up his old role in this new series, and 2) Go-KaiYellow is the subject of three of these pics, with two featuring Ichimichi Mao and one with the Go-KaiYellow suit actor. Either this possible tribute episode has something to do with Luka, or someone really likes Ichimichi Mao. For the sake of this post, let’s go with the former.

And while we’re talking about rumors, it’s rumored that Izumi Shuihei (Domon/TimeYellow of Timeranger) and Satou Tamao (Momo Maruo/OhPink of Ohranger) will appear in their respective tribute episodes. Not every tribute episode has to have a Red Senshi star in it. 😛

Go-Kaiger Ep.27 screen shots: Nothing beats the old switcharoo!

Alright then, here are some screen shots from the latest episode of Kaizoku Sentai Go-Kaiger! In this one, Luka and Don have switched bodies thanks to this week’s Action Commander. I wonder what kind of shenanigans they’ll get into while they’re in each others’ bodies? Let’s take a look:

Okay, I haven’t seen the episode yet, but I can tell you now that there’s an overwhelming number of Bioman villianess references in the background. I wonder if we’re close to a Bioman tribute episode?

And next week:

Well, that’s all the stuff from this newest episode I could find. If anything else pops up, I’ll let you know.

Go-Kaiger and Fourze scans: Setting sail and taking off!

Alright, so we’re firmly in new magazine scans time, and for the month of September, that means news about upcoming Go-Kaiger episodes, and new pics from Kamen Rider Fourze! Let’s jump to it!:

Starting with the Go-Kaiger scans:

Here’s a pic of GoJyuGo-KaiOh, the full, shared Grand Power from Abaranger. As you can see, it utilizes the arm swap gimmick frequently used in Abaranger, giving Go-KaiOh Go-JyuJin’s drilling power. There’s a second pic below.

And here’s something from the Jetman tribute episode, with some kind of red knight as their main enemy, and Wakamatsu Toshihide returning as Yuuki Gai/Black Condor.

This scan seems to be mostly about Basco, but what’s that on the bottom-left corner? Hmm…

Anyway, that’s it for Go-Kaiger, now let’s move onto Fourze!

Look at all the Astro Switches! The FourzeDriver must be like an iPhone and a Swiss Army knife rolled into one. 😛

And here are some Zodiarts, lined up next to an overview of the students in the high school. I wonder if any of them could be a Zodiart?

And that’s what I’ve found of Fourze so far.

And that should wrap up this post for now. If I find anthing else, I’ll be sure to let you know!

Kamen Rider Fourze Scans and Climax Heroes Announcement: Still hasn’t left the Launch Pad, but has already taken off!

Well, like the title says, we haven’t seen much of anything involving Fourze, but he’s already all over the place! Here, we have some scans from upcoming episodes of Kamen Rider Fourze, and an official announcement for his first videogame, Kamen Rider Climax Heroes Fourze. Well, someone’s been busy!

First, here are the latest scans, taken from Figure-Oh magazine:

For those of you expecting some form of context for these pics, I don’t have any.

Onto the videogame announcement!

After the success of last year’s title, Namco Bandai has announced a new title for it’s Climax Heroes game. The new installment, released for Kamen Rider’s 40th Anniversary, will be called Kamen Rider Climax Heroes Fourze, and will star the titular Rider himself.

In addition to last year’s roster, which included a majority of the Heisei Riders, this latest installment will include new characters, namely Kamen Riders Ichigo, Nigo, V3, Amazon, Black and Black RX. Also included is Shadowmoon as one of the bosses in story mode. Gotta show the Showa Riders a little love every now and then.

New features have also been announced for this latest installment, the first revealed being a new 2-on-2 VS Stage. More to be revealed as we approach the release date.

Speaking of which, the game will be released on the PSP, sometime this winter.         (price TBA)

Well, that’s it for Fourze news right now, if anything else pops up, I’ll be sure to let you know.

Black Condor has returned!

This is a leaked scan of Yuuki Gai (Black Condor of Jetman), shown here with a mobirate(?), which official confirms that he will appear in the Jetman tribute episode sometime in September. The actor, Wakamatsu Toshihide, confirmed this several weeks ago from his blog.

He is among a growing list of confirmed returning actors, which includes Nishimura Kazuhiko (Ohara Jo/Yellow Lion of Liveman), and according to some rumors, both AbareBlue and AbareYellow!

Eiji as Kamen Rider Birth: So who hasn’t been Birth yet?

This was taken from the OOO WONDERFUL movie, and as you can see, Eiji temporarily changes into Kamen Rider Birth!

In the movie Kamen Rider OOO THE MOVIE: WONDERFUL, Shogun, and 21 Core Medals, Eiji and the other are separated from each other when part of Tokyo is taken back to the Edo Period after Gara took the Core Medals they had, but Eiji was left with the BirthDriver, though I’m not sure why he had it in the first place.

There’s a lot of huge surprises in this movie, too bad most of us won’t be able to see any of it until about six months from now. 😦
