Power Rangers Magic Force MMORPG planned for South Korea: Who wants to be first in line for beta testing? :O

Sorry for the two-day delay, the real world sucks sometimes. Anyway, onto business!

Toei has partnered with the South Korean game company Ntreev Soft to produce a new MMO based on the Super Sentai series called Power Rangers Online, which the plan on unveiling by the end of this year.

The game will be based primarily on Mahou Sentai Magiranger, which aired in South Korea in 2006 as Power Rangers Magic Force as Korean dub of the original series (it should be noted that they’ve been airing Super Sentai in Korea under the Power Rangers title since Abaranger aired as Power Ranger Dino Thunder in 2003). It’s expected to be a side-scrolling action RPG, with players having the chance to create special costumes, learn unique combats skills, and fight monsters from the series! The teaser site for the game is already up (click here), and it’s announced plans to launch closed beta testing within the year.

The game is being co-developed by Ntreev, Daewon Media, and Ironnos.

Ntreev has indicated that the series has been well recieved by gamers, and they expect the game to be popular across all audiences. My only question is, why hasn’t this happened yet?! ūüėČ

Power Rangers Miracle Force OP and ED: Korean is a fun language!

Months ago, we reported that¬†the series Tensou Sentai Goseiger was going to¬†be dubbed in Korean and¬†air in South Korea under the title Power Rangers Miracle Force. Well, the series has debutted in South Korea, and now we have the new OP and ED for the newly dubbed series! Let’s watch and listen to the “new” theme songs:

Miracle Force OP:

Miracle Force ED:

They’re pretty good renditions¬†of the original Japanese theme songs by NoB and Takahashi Hideyuki (both from Project.R). Interestingly enough, both theme songs were performed in Korean by Sang-geol Lee. Not sure who that is, but I’m very interested in finding out. Anyway, what do you guys think of the new Korean versions?

Goseiger to air in Korea: Power Rangers Miracle Force! (No, I didn’t make this title up!)

That’s right folks! Starting next month, Tensou Sentai Goseiger will air in South Korea under the title Power Rangers Miracle Force. It will be part of the ongoing Korean dubbing of Sentai series under the “Power Rangers” title. It will be replacing the currently running Power Rangers Jungle Force (aka Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger). Here are some promotional pics:

For anyone who doesn’t know, there has been an ongoing dub project for Sentai series in South Korea since Abaranger premiered there under the title “Power Rangers Dino Thunder” (the original Disney-produced American Dino Thunder never aired there). Almost every series following Abaranger has been dubbed over and aired in Korean, with the only exception being Shinkenger (due mostly to cultural differences, and their grudge against Japan, at least to some extent).

Power Rangers Miracle Force will air July 2011.

And just so that we’re clear, THIS IS A KOREAN DUB OF THE ORIGINAL SENTAI SERIES, THIS IS NOT SABAN GETTING AHEAD OF ITSELF. IF SABAN DECIDES TO MAKE GOSEIGER INTO A RANGER SERIES, I’LL BE SURE TO LET YOU KNOW. This is just for those of you who might see this article and think this is an announcement for the next¬†Saban’s Power Rangers Series.
