Go-Kaiger Vs. Gavan First Teaser: There’s not enough there for me to make up a stupid title…

After months of waiting, we finally have a trailer for the upcoming movie Kaizoku Sentai Go-Kaiger Vs. Uchu Keiji Gavan! Now if only it was more that a teaser trailer. Oh well, checl it out below:

Now so far, there have been a lot of rumors, with little true confirmations. There’s several supposed plot summaries, from arrests to rescues to whatever. However, we do know that Ohba Kenji will star in it as Retsuo Ichijoji, and that he will also appear as BattleKenya and DenjiBlue (that would be the funniest meet-up ever), and that the movie premieres January 21st!

Video Game Rangers?: Mock Power Rangers Teaser Trailer.

So, one of the biggest problems many of us see with adapting Goseiger for Power Rangers is figuring out how to get past, or at least get around, the angel theme. Well, I certainly know one person whose found a very creative way of getting around it, and they even made a short fan trailer! Check it out below:

Well, how do you like that? Would be a great way to get through to the current youth (wow, that sounded like something an old person would write). The only real flaw with this theme that I can see is that the whole “videogame world” thing is a little overplayed. But it could possibly work.

Of course, this is only a fan teaser, and it was made over a month ago, so it doesn’t include any new info that’s come out since. All indications currently point to a sort-of MMPR reboot, with the Rangers going back to school. And unless something else comes out, the official name so far for the next series will be Power Rangers MegaForce, so who knows what the theme will be then. This could turn out to be close to the real theme. 😉

Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal to Premiere on CW 4Kids Toonzai October 15th: Wait, 4Kids still has rights to it?

4Kids Entertainment recently announced via Facebook and YouTube that Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal, the latest iteration of the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise, will premiere on their CW 4Kids Toonzai block.

The new series revolves around the story of 13-year-old Yuma Tukumo, an amateur duelist, and Astral, a mysterious life form from a parallel world that suddenly appears before Yuma. The series originally debutted in Japan back in April, with the manga launching back in February.

Here’s the new teaser promo that 4Kids has posted:

4Kids has been in recent legal battles with the series licensers, ADK and TV Tokyo, which nearly led to the two licencing companies to cut ties with 4Kids and sell licenses to new distributors. To sum up the events to this point, 4Kids filed legal actions against the two companies to keep them from selling to someone else, until their own separate legal troubles were resolved (for a more complete story, click here).

Well then, I guess this news begs the question: how do you feel about Zexal making it’s way into the world? Are you excited by this? Could you care less? And how do you feel about 4Kids handling it? Are you happy about it, or would you prefer another company dealing with fewer legal troubles to distribute it? I’ll admit, I haven’t really followed the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise in a while, I might just have to see if this series is worth it’s muster.
