Well, look what finally made it’s way to the interwebs. It’s the raw video for Ultraman SAGA! In this movie celebrating the 45th Anniversary of the franchise, the Earth is invaded by a mysterious group of aliens, and it’s up to Ultraman Zero, with the help of Dyna, Cosmos, and the EDF’s Team U (portrayed by Pop group AKB48), to save us! Check out the full movie below!:
Ultraman SAGA Movie RAW:
Full review when subs are available. I got to tell you, this is probably the first Ultraman-related thing I’ve seen or heard in months. Tsuburaya really needs to get the TV series relaunched, before Toei decides to relaunch the Metal Hero series and just completely takes over the market.

UPDATE: Okay, so that first video’s sound goes out about 33 minutes in, and doesn’t really come back on, so now we have a newly uploaded RAW for you to watch. I’ll still keep the first one up though, just in case one of these videos disappears (and because the second one stops just before the closing credits). Check out that video below:
Hey, a lot of new info on the upcoming movie Ultraman Saga popped up at the end of last week, which includes a new host for Ultraman Zero, and the return of the human hosts for Dyna and Cosmos. Looks like Tsuburaya’s got their hat in the ring this winter!
First up, a look at the new host for Zero:
Zero’s last host was Ran from the movie Belial’s Galactic Empire. But for this movie, his new host will be Taiga Nozomu, the newest member of the Super GUTS team. He will be played by singer-songwriter DAIGO, from the band BREAKERZ. Taiga will be able to transform into Zero with the new Zero Brace, which will later be used as the Saga Brace when he transforms into Ultraman Saga.
In this movie, Taiga is a rookie member of the Super GUTS team who is also a talented pilot. After desperately protecting a child in danger and sustaining a serious injury, he is chosen be Zero to be his new host, resulting in the birth of a new hero.
Co-staring with DAIGO will be Tsurono Takeshi and Sugiura Taiyo, reprising their roles as Asuka Shin/Dyna and Haruno Musashi/Cosmos.
The story deals with a mysterious race of beings that take over the Earth. It’s up to the combined efforts of Zero, Dyna, and Cosmos to take on this new foe and bring back peace to the world.
There was also a new trailor that was released for the movie, but unfortunately I have not been able to find a copy that was available outside of Japan (or at most East-South East Asia).
Tsuburaya Productions announcedWednesday that the movie Ultraman Saga, which commemorates the 45th Anniversary of the Ultraman franchise, will open on March 24th, 2012. The movie will play in both 2D and stereoscopic 3D in theaters in Japan.
The movie features Ultraman Zero, Dyna, and Cosmos as they fight to prevent the villanous Alien Bat from turning the Earth into his own personal laboratory with the help of Hyper Zetton.
We’ve got two clips from a Japanese morning news show featuring scenes from the upcoming third movie in the Ultraman Zero trilogy, Ultraman Saga, and it also features a little bit of promotional stuff for Tsuburaya. Eh, it’s there, just so you know. Now let’s get to the part you’re actually interested in!:
Here’s our first real look at Hyper Zetton, the main villain of the third movie in the Ultraman Zero trilogy, Ultraman Saga. Here, we can see it battling against Zero, Dyna, and Cosmos. Will our heroes be able to defeat this powerful new foe?
In the movie, Hyper Zetton is sent after the UltraHeroes by Alien Bat, the metallic creature in the top left corner, who first appeared in Return of Ultraman, which is celebrating it’s 40th Anniversary.
And that’s where this newest trailer has come from. Check out a super-exclusive, wholy unauthorized, first look at the upcoming, two-part, direct-to-video movie, Ultraman Zero GAIDEN: Killer the Beatstar:
Like the previous side movies, it will be released in two parts or stages, the first due out November 25th and the second on December 22nd. This story will act as a prequel to the final part of the Ultraman Zero Trilogy, Ultraman Saga, which will premiere February 2012.
The release date for the third film in the Ultraman Zero trilogy, Ultraman Saga, has been confirmed. Sagae Hiroshi, popular for his special effects and minature model designs, confirmed through his Facebook page that the movie is slated to be released sometime around February 2012.
Sagae, who is currently working on the movie, will be providing the kaiju models for the stop-motion animation sequences.
He also confirmed that the director will be Oba Hideki, who directed Ultraman Zero vs. Darklops, and the special effects will be handled by Mike Toshio (no, not the English “Mike”, it’s mi:keɪ), who worked as the production designer on “Heisei Gamura Series”.
We have the title for the new Ultraman movie, Ultraman Saga!
Coming in 2012, Ultraman Saga stars Ultraman Zero, Ultraman Dyna, and Ultraman Cosmos. And surprisingly, Ultraman Legend, the combined form of Cosmos and Justice, will also be making an appearence. Are we perhaps looking at a new advanced form? Other UltraBeings are said to show up in the moive, including the original Ultraman, Seven, Jack, Ace, and Leo.
And in this movie, their new enemy is Hyper Zetton, an alien kaijuu from the same race as Zetton, Ultraman’s toughest enemy ever! (For reference purposes, it’s the one that looks like a giant black lobster.)
Sorry, no plot details yet. But we definitely know it’s coming out next year!
