Kamen Rider OOO show and movie pics: No time for explanations! Ahh!

Sorry, not a whole lotta time for context today, internet keeps going out. Just know that everything after the solo pic of the Chicken Yummy (Date would be happy) is from the movie, and everything before it (including it) is from future episodes. Gotta jet!

Go-Kaiger and OOO Summer Movie Press Conference

Sorry these isn’t a clever title this time. This is just too EPIC!

Yesterday, the official joint press conference for Go-Kaiger‘s and OOO’s summer movies took place yestersay, and a lot of info about the conference has been released thanks to OCN Animation.

The press conference featured the casts from both movies, including Matsudaira Ken, who is guest-starring in the OOO summer movie, and they let a lot of info about the movie slip out.

From the Go-Kaiger movie, we’ve learned that some major villains from the past will make a comeback. In particular Dekaranger villain Alienizer Agent Abrella and Goranger villain Mutant Baseball Mask. And Sasaki Isao will be voicing Gastun Beron Pachin, the guard of the treasure on the ghost ship.

From the OOO movie, we’ve found out that the BuraKaWani Medals use to belong to a European royal family, but had been given to the Tokugawas. And Tokugawa Yoshimune gives them to Eiji in the movie. It was also revealed in DJ HurryKenn’s radio podcast (part of Wind Wave Radio) that the theme song for the movie will be “Let’s Hold Hands~ Matsuken x Kamen Rider Samba” performed by Matsudaira Ken with Watanabe Shu and Miura Ryosuke (single out August 3rd).

And here is a video of the conference:

Not much else known about these movies at the moment, even though we already know a lot already. If anything else pops up, I’ll let you know!

Kamen Rider OOO Rumors: “Birth” of a new Hero.

Well, if this series isn’t just one suprise after another. After all the shocking turn of events from the last few weeks, we have a whole host of rumors for the nrxt episode, and themsome. To start with:

  • Date fell for a trap set by Dr. Maki. Gotou finds out what really happened and transforms into Birth.
  • OOO changes into ShaUTa combo and uses it’s liguid mode to remove the bullet from Date’s brain.
  • Date officially retires as Birth and hands the belt over to Gotou, asking him to work with Eiji and Ankh as a combo, but Gotou refuses and gives the belt back to Date, saying that Date is the only one who should be Birth. And until Date recovers, Gotou will fight alone.
  • Dr. Maki’s experiment fails, and he is swallowed up by darkness, and Giru is formed. Eiji is also affected by this.
  • Ankh is swallowed up by Lost Ankh, and the only way to save him is by finding the lost 10th Core Medal.
  • Mezool gets close to Kougami, and Uva revives and falls in love with Satonaka.
  • Kougami knew Dr. Maki’s sister when he was younger.
  • The upcoming summer movie and tv series are connected. Hina looks exactly like a princess and is kidnapped by ninjas. Ankh and Gotou are mistaken for a samurai and Nezumi Kozo, a Japanese folk hero from Edo similar to Robin Hood.
  • Fouze and Metamoru show up in the OOO summer movie. For clarification purposes, Matemoru is not the secondary rider in Fouze. I don’t know who or what Metamoru is. Although, “Fouze” and “Metamoru” could be a play on the word “metamorphose”.

So, it seems that Gotou will only be Birth for this next episode, so the pic below just won’t happen. But at least Date doesn’t die. Honestly, I didn’t think that they were going to try and kill off Date, because they haven’t tried to kill off a main character in years. But who knows, Gotou might find another chance to take the mantle.

And just a reminder, these are just rumors, so anything too far beyond the next couple of episodes might prove to be false. And if anything else pops up, I’ll be sure to let you know.

More Fouze Rumors: “Rider Switch!”, eh, could use some work.

With each passing week, we get closer to the end of OOO and to the start of Fouze. And rumors about this series have been popping up left and right about the 13th Heisei Rider. One of the newest, and maybe biggest of the rumors, is a facet of his Rider System called the “Rider Switch”. That, and the high school background.

To start out, Fouze is a high school student, and the background of the story is at a high school. It revolves around the school’s Occult club, whose three members and culb advisor have been investigating an urban legend about a “Kamen Rider”, and collecting Rider Switches for past Riders. When Fouze arrives, he already has five Fouze switches and four OOO switches. When Fouze has five Rider Switches, he can “metamorphose” into that Rider’s mode. He can access past Rider’s modes.

There are three types of switches, there’s the Rider Switch, which changes his body, the “Arms Switch”, which changes his armaments and weapons, and the “Vehichle Switch” which changes the bike and other support vehicles, which, if true, would be interesting, since they don’t really do anything with the vehicle anymore. And, of course, it wouldn’t be a Kamen Rider series without an evil organization trying to collect the Rider Switches too.

For those of you still a little confused by how Fouze’s Rider Switch system is suppose to work, let me put it this way: he’s not suppose to work like Decade, he doesn’t outright change into past riders, it’s more like he uses elements from the past riders, like weapons or attacks, he may even take on a similar appearence. He has a base form, like Den-O’s Plat Form, and he uses the different switches from there.

And I would just like to reitarate that these are just rumors, that they could change at any minute, and that most of it could prove to be untrue. As we get closer to the official announcement, we could have a completely different story. For example, the last rumor post I put up included an sketch that is also rumored to be a new Metal Hero (check previous post). The only thing we know for sure is that he is the next Rider, there is a confirmed actress that will be starring in the series, and that Fouze will appear in the OOO summer movie!

And supposedly, the word “metamorphose” was used specifically to describe how the Rider Switch works. So maybe that has something to do with how his name is either pronounced or romanicized. I don’t know, but I think they’ll just end up going with “40”.

Kamen Rider Fouze OOO Movie Rumor: “Holy Sh*t, it’s the real Kamen Rider OOO!”

Now that Kamen Rider Fouze has been confirmed as the next Rider, sone rumors have been popping up on the message boards, mostly about Fouze appearing in OOO summer movie, Kamen Rider OOO: WONDERFUL Shogun and 21 Core Medals. Basically, it’s rumored that Fouze will have a cameo in the OOO movie similar to OOO’s cameo in Kamen Rider W FOREVER: A-Z, The Gaia Memory of Fate. It’s also rumored that his name will be Kakeru. In the scene where Fouze supposedly shows up, he goes up to OOO as Kakeru and yells out the quote in the title, “Holy sh*t, it’s the real Kamen Rider OOO!” (I have many doubts about that). He changes, fights with OOO, then at the end his sister calls him and tells him to go home. And he might also have a smartphone-like device that has information on all the past riders, which has been compared to the PokeDex from Pokemon. That’s all we need, a RiderDex. Although that does explain where they keep getting their gimmicks from. Anyway, just remember that these are just rumors, and there is a very good chance that none of it will come true. The only thing I’m sure will happen is that Fouze will make some kind of cameo in this summer movie.

There is also a pic going around now that is supposedly of Fouze, but I’m not including it, mostly because it just looks like fan art to me. Ah, screw it. But don’t get mad at me if he doesn’t look anything like this:

Looks cool, but (once again) this could just be fan art. It really doesn’t look like the typical concept sketch you see leaked when a Rider series is announced.

Go-Kaiger Summer Movie News: I’m posting this pic, you can judge for yourselves.

Well, we certainly have some interesting news about Go-Kaiger today, they actually announced the name of their summer movie, even with another not in theaters yet. Also, this picture showed up. People have said stuff about it already, but I won’t say anything here about it, I’ll leave that to you.

Anyway, the movie will be called Kaizoku Sentai Go-Kaiger the Movie: The Flying Ghost Ship, and it will premiere on August 6th, side by side with OOO’s summer movie. There aren’t any details about the plot yet, there probably won’t be anything on it until after the premiere of Go-Kaiger Goseiger Super Sentai 199, but with the title “The Flying Ghost Ship”, it might be possible that our favorite pirates could have a run in with the infamous Flying Dutchman, the ship of the damned captained by the cursed Davy Jones, which would bring in a “Pirates of the Carribean” element to the story. Although they’ll probably have their own spin on it.

If anything else pops up, I’ll let you know.

Kamen Rider OOO Summer Movie Update: Oh, Gara is a woman. My bad.

Now that we finally have a title for the movie, and know a bit more about BuraKaWani Combo, we’re getting a bit more detailed version of the plot.

The movie starts off with Kougami and Satonaka headed off for Germany. Gara (played by Sakai Miki), the alchemist who created the Core Medals, is lying dormat deep within a German forest. Legend has it that Gara has the “Lost Medals” with her, so naturally Kougami has to go over to Germany to find and revive her.

During this ceremony meant to revive Gara, the room suddenly fills with a mysterious melody, and the lid to Gara’s tomb flies off, and hundreds of medals come flying out. As they enter the forest, suddenly 200-300 meters of the forest changes into Shinjuku!

Mean while back in Japan, Shinjuku district is slowly being replaced by the German forest, and everyone is in a panic. Medals start slithering out of the forest like snakes, and come together to for a medieval tower in the middle of the displaced forest. Knights start pouring out of the tower and Gara finally reveals herself.

Okay. before I go any further, I jsut have to say this: Gara is dressed like a Super Sentai villianess. Seriously, I’m halfway expecting her to send the Putty Patrol after OOO. Yes, Gara is the one on the left. We’ll get to the one on the right in a second, so just hold your horses.

When Gara shows up, she proclaims that she will take back all of the Core Medals, and that she will destroy this world and build a new one for her to rule over. She manages to even take the Taka Core, leaving Eiji unable to henshin. She also sends out one of her familiars, Bell (played by Agino Karin) to go around town and ask people strange questions. Not sure how that’s part of the plan, but it is.

Seeing Shinjuku change into a forest, Eiji, Hina and Ankh rush in, only to find themselves in Edo! And somehow they’ve all gotten separated from each other. Gara creates the Nue Yummy and sends it after Eiji, but with no way to henshin and no back-up, how will Eiji survive?! What happened to Ankh and Hina? And where are the other Greeed and Dr. Maki in all of this? The countdown to the End has begun!

And what happened to Lost Ankh, and how did Uva come back?

There are too many questions!!!

Official Summer Movie Website for Go-Kaiger AND OOO!: I smell a team-up!

The official website for both Go-Kaiger‘s and OOO‘s summer movie is up and open! So far, the site features a teaser trailer, and an update on the OOO movie, mostly about Matsudaira Ken, the person who will be playing the Shogun in the movie. This is his first role in tokusatsu, but he has played the role of this shogun, Tokugawa Yoshimune, in the historical drama Abarenbo Shogun. He was offered the role not just because he played the role before, but he is also the man when it comes to historical plays for Toei.

While there still isn’t any real news yet for the Go-Kaiger summer movie, the Go-Kaiger Goseiger 199 Hero Movie is coming to theaters June 11, and the buzz about it just gets bigger and bigger. Looks like they really will have all 199 heroes in the movie, along with all the past mecha and vehicles. It’s shaping up to be one big movie.

For a link to the official website, click here: http://ooo-gokai.jp/ I will also include this link into the blogroll.

That’s all for now, as always I will update you when anything else pops up. And no, there aren’t any rumors of a team-up between the two in their movies, I just think that would be cool.

Kamen Rider OOO Summer Movie Title Announced!: I’ve run out of clever things to say!

The title for OOO’s summer movie has officially been announced. The title is Kamen Rider OOO: WONDERFUL Shogun and 21 Core Medals. The movie is set for release August 6th and will run alongside Go-Kaiger’s summer movie.

And now that we have the title, we now have a real plot outline for the movie. Gara, the alchemist who created the Core Medals out of his obsession with desire 800 years ago, has been revived. And now he’s trying to take back the Core Medals so that he can create a new world. He attacks Eiji and Ankh and starts turning people into Medals. During all of this, time gets distorted and part of Tokyo changes into Old Edo. In order to end the chaos, OOO will have to work with the Shogun of the time, Tokugawa Yoshimune (played by Matsudaira Ken).

This movie will also feature OOO’s first movie-only combo, the BuraKaWani combo, and he will go through all of his available combos, hence the title “21 Core Medals”. And it seems that he will have to go up against both Gara and the Nue Yummy.

Kamen Rider OOO: WONDERFUL Shogun and 21 Core Medals is directed by Shibasaki Takayuki (Chou Den-O Episode Yellow and Shinkenger Returns!) and is set for release August 6th.

UPDATE: (5/30/11) Well, now we’ve got a bit more info on BuraKaWani and the OOO summer movie, so let’s go!

As you know, in the OOO summer movie Kamen Rider OOO the Movie: WONDERFUL the Shogun and 21 Core Medals, OOO will get a new movie-exclusive combo, the BuraKaWani combo. Created 800 years ago by Gara, they were sealed away haven’t been found until now. The Medals are related to youth and longevity, and it covers the body of the user in a super-healing substance called “Soma Venom”. If the user gets hurt, they instantly heal. And the armor of the combo is resistant to almost any kind of attack.

Here we have the Tokugawa taking the Medals for the BuraKaWani out of a pewter box, decorated with European designs, and Ankh sitting on a rooftop loooking over the binder he keeps the Medals in. Note the cherry blossoms in full bloom.

With these new core medals comes new abilities. And those abilities are:

  • Cobra Medal: OOO gets a cobra head, his eysight is doubled, and he develops infra-red vision that can let him see even in absolute darkness.
  • Kame (Turtle) Medal: OOO hands are equipped with the “Goura Guardner”, the two turtle shell shields on his arms. He can combine them together to emit energy shields. The scales on his arm and body also strengthen his skin.
  • Wani (Crocodile) Medal: His legs turm into very sharp saws, and he can cut his enemies in half between his legs. The Line Drive (the phyisical lines going down his legs that charge up during a special attack) can also channel more power and energy than the other leg medals.

Man, he just needs to hold onto these Medals and bring them back over into the series. It’s almost like the anti-PutoTyrano Combo.

And as you can see, the fact that Eiji is in a different period in history doesn’t change how he handles the situation. He’s just laid back and adapting to everything that is happening, while wearing period clothing and grilling cuttlefish at that. XD
