New Samurai Toy Spottings: Blurring the lines between the Holiday Season and Season 2.

Since the new toy line announcement last week, people have started to see the new spring line pop up in stores just in time for the holidays (like that was an accident). Here’s some of the new toys that are on the shelves now (depending on where you live/shop), found by various users on Rangerboard.

First, from Toys’R’Us, we have this new Lantern/Spiderzord with a Super Gold Ranger figure:

Yeah, not sure where they came up with the spider concept either, but we have a Lantern zord now.

And here’s a few pics from Rangerboard member TheReverend7, which he took at his local Wal-Mart in Abilene, TX:

And this is what he took home:

And here’s a video demonstrating how it works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wsbkt5QpZI

And these next pics were taken by SPDRed222 at a Toys’R’Us in Cincinnati, OH:

And finally, we have a few pics from deadsilence1, from both a Wal-Mart in Brownville, TX and a Target in McAllen, TX:

So, have you seen any of these new toys in your local stores?

Tokumei Sentai Gobuster REVEALED!: Talk about a power you’ve never seen before. [Updated Three times]

They’re finally here! Here’s the first official images of the 36th Super Sentai Series Tokumei Sentai Gobuster!:

Here they are! From right to left, that’s YellowBuster and robot partner Usada Letas, RedBuster with Chida Nikku, and BlueBuster with Gorisaki Banana, and of course Gobuster-Oh in the background.

And this is their main henshin device, the (and I kid you not) Morphin’ Brace (sincerest apologies to the Mission Paneler for not making the cut). Apparently, it pops out the shades that the Gobusters where on their helmets. And from the looks of it, it come with interchangable disks for each Gobuster (think the Shinobi Medals from Hurricanger). And then there’s the thing on the bottom of the page, but I don’t know what it is, so let’s move on!

And here are two of their side-arms, the IchiganBuster, a camera that changes into a gun/blaster, and the SouganBlade, a sword that changes into a pair of binoculars. And from the looks of it, it seem that they do combine together to form one more powerful weapon.

And this is RedBuster’s mech, CB-01 Gobuster Ace. Looks like Chida Niku first turns into the head of the mech (GoseiKnight anyone?), and then attaches itself to the car shown above, then changes into a cheetah, and then changes into a single robot that can combine with the other two. A little complicated, but okay.

And the other two, Gorisaki Banana and Usada Letas combine with a BlueBuster’s truck GT-02 and YellowBuster’s helicopter RH-03, respectively, to form the auxillary gorilla and rabbit mechs. And when they all combine…

…You get Gobuster-Oh! Looks like a cross between SirenBuilder and Engine-Oh. (What is it time for? I can’t see, there’s a giant robot in the way.)

Anyway, today’s news isn’t entirely about Gobuster, because this was included with the leaked scans:

Whoa, that’s bigger than the others. It’s the new Legend Mobirate, apparently with 68 new sounds, a new gold-lined paint job, a Super Sentai databease, and a new AkaRed RangerKey! And it will be cheaper than the standard Mobirate!! And it looks like they’ll be releaseing three new RangerKey sets, which include full-team SunVulcan, Gaoranger, and of course Gobuster. Set for release in March.

My thoughts: On first impression, it looks good. At first, I was somewhat shocked by the new suit designs, mostly because they look like an outfit you’d where backpacking, but it works. I’d do like the new colored-shades look, and the helmet design is clean and simple. While I’ll admit that I had been looking forward to the Mission Paneler, I do like the pop-out shades gimmick of the Morhpin’ Brace (Saban, if you ever get to this series, please, for your sake and mine, keep that name!). From the look of that, and their equipment, it looks like the spy theme rumors might be true. And I guess with the new mechs that they wanted to retry the “Headder” concept from Goseiger, but it’s a nice looking Sentai mech. Th only thing I’m no sure of is their team logo. It’s a pair of shades over an ellipse that makes it look like a big “G”, and has the letters “BG” on the shades. It’s just a little too reminiscent of the Go-Onger logo for my tastes.

And of course, this post is full of good news, because along with this new preview and the new Mobirate news, it looks like the premiere date for the series is February 26th, which would put the official number of episode of Go-Kaiger at the rumored number of 52! Yay rumor confirmations!

If I find out any more, you can bet I’ll let you know!

New Gobuster Cast and General Rumors: Pick a naming convention already!

Looks like we’ve got new rumors for the 36th Super Sentai series, Tokumei Sentai Gobuster, and it features a new cast rumor and new plot point rumors. And this time, we get to see more Foodroids! (Wait, wrong show) Check out the current cast line-up:

The core team will be composed of  RedBuster, Sakurada Hiromu (played by Suzuki Katsuhiro), BlueBuster, Iwasaki Ryuuji (played by Baba Ryouma), and YellowBuster, Usami Youko (played by Arisa Komiya).

And here’s the current set of rumors that have come out:

  • Heroine is a favorite among “maniacs”
  • A former Space Sheriff guides the 3 rangers
  • Enemies are Supernatural Creatures/Ghosts
  • Strong comedy flavoring
  • Transformation Device is the Mission Paneler. Smart Phone type.
  • Robot is a cross between GekiTouja and SirenBuilder
  • The Partner Robos seem to be based on “Favorite Foods”. The first 3 are  meat, fruit, vegetables. The 4th ranger’s robo may be a  dolphin/representing fish.

It’s like all of the rumors from the past couple of months are starting to coalesce. Plus, the Foodroids have been upgrade to full Food mechs! Really, you take that from Fourze?

Power Rangers Samurai Spring Toy Line: Super Samurai Included!

Hey, a bunch of new Power Rangers Samurai toy pics showed up over the weekend for PRS’s Spring Line, and they include the Super Samurai figures, the new “Shark” Zord (Kyoryu Origami), and a bunch of other cool toys and figures! Looks like it’s going to be quite the shopping season. Let’s get to the good stuff!:

First, here’s the Super Samurai:

And here’s Pink and Yellow. Theye’re normal, but with modified weapons:

And here’s a new Master Xandred figure:

Also on the list are some re-releases of the auxilary zords, this time with new helmetless figures (attachable helmet included):

And now back to some new stuff. Mainly, the new Shark Zord:

Yep, that’s the relabel Kyoryu Origami, which includes what I’m guessing is a helmetless Jayden as the Shark Attack Ranger. Here’s a couple more pics:

Something about that new belt looks awfully familiar…                                                                  No time to dwell on that, though, we’ve got more figures to cover.

Like these new Super Samurai Morphin’ Figures:

Or how about these Mini Cycles:

Then there’s this new collection of Mega Ranger figures:

And there are some new Power Rangers plushes:

These plush action figures, called the Power Rangers Battlers, are 18in tall and are currently available:

And here’s the smaller, 10.5in versions:

And, since they have to keep up with current toy trends, here are some new Power Rangers Squinkies:

The entire collection of PRS Squinkes comes in three sets.

And those are the new toys that, for the most part, are out now (depends on where you look). Since this is technically the spring line, there’s a good chance that we might see more of it come out for the Holiday Shopping Season. I doubt they’ll reveal any more than they have here (in regards to stuff that will show up in the show in the future), but you never know what they’ll decide. We might even see a female Red Ranger figure show up. 😉

Kamen Rider Movie Wars MEGAMAX New Movie Poster and Rumors.

Hey look! More old news! A new movie poster for the upcoming movie Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider Fourze & OOO Movie Wars MEGAMAX is out, and we have a new plot summary for the movie as well. So let’s get to it.

First off, here’s the new poster:

This time, all of the Riders that appear in the movie are featured, including W, Nadeshiko, Aqua, and the Legendary Seven.

And now we move onto the new plot summary, this one coming from the OCN Animation Blog. It verifies that the movie will be divided into five parts, with OOO, Fourze, and even W getting their own chapters. Here’s the new story:

Chapter 1: Beginning
Meteorites fell from space all over the world. Stuck to those meteorites is a mysterious substance called SOLU. These 7 Riders get into a fierce competition with Foundation X over it. However, the SOLU fell into Foundation X’s hands. The dreadful project they’re advancing is…?

Chapter 2: Kamen Rider OOO
From a distortion in time caused by the meteorites, the present world has become connected with the world 40 years into our future. Kamen Rider Poseidon comes from the future carrying the future’s Core Medals. Since Poseidon likes to fight more than anything else, he aims to defeat our present Riders OOO and Birth. He targets Eiji Hino (OOO), who has recently come home from his journey. But when that happens–who appears but Ankh, who disappeared during the previous battles.

Chapter 3: Futo – The Secret Plot Advances
Shotaro Hidari encounters Foundation X in Futo and begins to investigate their plans. On the other hand, the 7 Riders find the location of Foundation X’s secret airport and corner its leader, Remu Kannagi. However, Foundation X laid a trap the Riders couldn’t predict. The 7 Riders are in danger! And Foundation X’s plot is coming closer and closer to fruition…!

Chapter 4: Kamen Rider Fourze
Amanogawa High School is full of people for the Culture Festival. Then suddenly, a cute girl fell from the sky. Gentaro Kisaragi falls in love with that girl, Nadeshiko Misaki, but for some reason the Zodiarts are after her. To protect her, he transforms into Kamen Rider Fourze, but she surprisingly transforms into Kamen Rider Nadeshiko. Exactly what is her true identity? In truth, Nadeshiko is one link in this big chain of events, and has a big secret.

Chapter 5: Movie Wars MEGAMAX
Fourze, OOO and Double were chasing the same enemy. When the full scope of the enemy’s plans comes to light, the Riders join forces to protect world peace. However, before the Riders appears a large army of Zodiarts, Greeed and Dopants. Fourze and the other Riders are attacked by this army and end up in trouble. Is there a chance to turn the tables? Fight, our heroes! Gather here, legendary warriors!

Whoa, looks like it’s gonna be another big rumble! Do our heroes have what it takes to stop Foundation X in it’s tracks?! We’ll just have to find out when the movie debuts in December (or when the movie comes out on Blu-Ray/DVD release six months later).

Movie Wars MEGAMAX Latest Trailer: Explosions and Cut-scenes Oh My!

Check out the latest trailer for the upcoming movie Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider Fourze & OOO Movie Wars MEGAMAX. This features new scenes of Fourze, OOO, Nadeshiko, Aqua, Foundation X, the Seven Legendary Riders, and a lot of explosions, not to mention the first video of OOO Super TaToBa Combo. See it for yourselves:

Yep, totally makes up for the fact that there wasn’t a new episode of Kamen Rider Fourze this week, right?

Kamen Rider Fourze New States: Magnets, Double Rockets, New Switches, and Bigger Heads.

Hey, it looks like Fourze’s getting two new States soon, and we’ve got the pics to prove it. Here’s a first look at the upcoming Magnet and Double Rocket States!

First up, the Magnet State:

This is the rumored state with the even-bigger head. It’s ctivated by using the #30 Magnet N Switch and the #31 Magnet S Switch at full power in conjunction with the NS MagPhone (pictured below). As you can see, in this state Fourze get’s a bigger head, gun turrets on his shoulders (that combine into a big magnet), and the orange Thermo Registyle turns red and blue. Also revealed on this page are the #28 Hand Switch (left leg) and and the #26 Wheel Switch (right leg).

And next we have the Double Rocket State:

This State, which is set to debut in the MEGAMAX movie, is powered by the S-1 Astro Switch, which activates the Super-1 Rocket Modules, which adds a rocket to both arms, and gives Fourze an orange form.

So far it hasn’t been revealed how he attains this form, or if it will carry over into the series.

And finally, we have some new Foodroids and new Astro Switches that should come out around the same time:

Here in this new crop of Foodroids we have: Foodroid 04 Holwankof (the hotdog), which uses the #29 Scoop Switch, Foodroid 05 Softonya (the ice cream cone) which uses the #32 Freeze Switch, and Foodroid 06 Nagejaroika (the boxed lunch with the meat kabobs) which uses the #37 Gyro Switch. Quite the menu selection, isn’t it? 😛

Anyway, that’s all of the new Fourze stuff for now. It anything els pops up, I’ll let you know (hopefully, it won’t be two dats after the fact).
