Go-Kaiger Ultra-Post: Haden Ni Ikuze! Until the last episode!

Yes, this is it, the long awaited Ultra-Post for Go-Kaiger (and so we’re clear, I don’t care if their isn’t a hyphen between the “Go” and “Kaiger”, that’s just the way I spell it), and the over-all theme of this post is “the beginning of the end”, because we’re down to the last two episodes, with the finale (Ep.51) on February 19th. And while the series may be ending, the franchise is still in full swing, with both a leading role in Superhero Taisen, and new Go-Kaiger toys being released along with the upcoming Go-Buster toy line (and yes, that’s the official spelling for the new series, you’re welcome). And of course, we still have about a months worth of news to cover in a single post, so let’s get to it!

First off, let’s go over the newest episode summaries for the last three episodes, where  they have an all-out battle with Zangyack!:

Episode 50: Title- Kessen no Hi (Day of the Great Battle) Airs- 2/12/12 Summary-

Zangyack is advancing their final plans, which includes an all out attack on the Gokaiger, and the ultimate destruction of Earth! It has been revealed that the Greatest Treasure in the Universe can, and must, be used to wipeout Zangyack’s Great Fleet, completely. The Gokaiger are hesistant to do so, wondering what their compensation would be.

Episode 51 (Final Episode): Title- Sayonara Uchuu Kaizoku (Goodbye Space Pirates) Airs- 2/19/12 Summary-

The Gokaiger engage in a life-or-death struggle against the Zangyack. What will the Gokaiger do with the Super Sentai’s 34 Great Powers? One after the other, strong enemies gather to stand in the Gokaiger’s way….

And we also have the title of the last two episodes, which are:

  • Episode 50: The Day of Battle
  • Episode 51: Farewell Space Pirates

And now for some new scans, which feature the final EPIC fight between Basco and Go-KaiRed, the Greatest Treasure in the Universe, the second Legend War, and much more!:

These scans below come from the first official Volume of the Go-Kaiger RangerKey Book:

How is the book cover the smallest scan?

Anyway, This is book one, as there will be future volumes to come out with future RangerKey releases, such as these seen here:

Yep, those are SIX coming RangerKey sets, for Hurricanger, Boukenger, Dekaranger, Gekiranger, Kamen Rider OOO, and a 2nd set for Go-Buster, which features the 4th & 5th Go-Busters and the new BuddyRoid (which I will cover in a separate post).

Now let’s move on to some confirmed and rumored returning actor appearances for these last three episodes:

Yes, this already happened, but it’s so cool it’s just worth going over. for Ep.49 (The Greatest Trasure in the Universe, 2/5) we had a 5-in-1 tribute episode for SunVulcan, Changeman, Flashman, Maskman, and Fiveman. And for this tribute episodes, we had the following returning actors:

Takayuki Godai (Takayuki Hiba/Vul Eagle II), Kazuoki Takahashi (Shou Hayate/Change Gryphon), Kihachiro Uemura (Dai/Green Flash), Issei Hirota (Akira/Blue Mask), and Ryou Narushima (Remi Hoshikawa/Five Yellow).

For Ep.50 (The Day of The Deciding Battle, 2/12), we have:

Seiju Umon (credited under Aohisa Takayasu), who previously played Mammoth Ranger Goushi in Zyuranger, Louis Yamada LIII as Professor Shuichiro Amachi of Tensou Sentai Goseiger, and Kaoru Hirata as Yuka Yamazaki of Mahou Sentai Magiranger. Also, it looks like the kid from Ep.3 will be returning as well, for what reason is hard to say.

And confirmed to appear in the final episode (Ep.51 Farewell Space Pirates, 2/19):

Naoya Makoto, who played Tsuyoshi Kaijo/AkaRanger in Goranger, and who also appeared in the movie Go-Kaiger Goseiger Super Sentai 199 Heroes. And we also have…

Atsushi Harada, who played Shou Tatsumi/GoGreen of GoGoV. He confirmed his appearance in the episode via Twitter.

Other rumored appearances include Yumi Sugimoto, who played Miu Sutou/Go-OnSilver in Go-Onger, and Keiya Asakura, who played Yohei Hama/BlueTurbo in Turboranger.

And finally, we end this post with some news and info on Go-Kaiger Vs. Gavan.

First, here’s a full trailer for the movie:

Next, we have a full summary for the movie:

The movie opens with the Gokai Galleon being attacked by Gavan’s ship. It’s a really nice scene that makes use of the added budget. Gai’s reaction when he realizes that it’s Gavan is priceless.
Gokaiger vs Gavan Film Major Update Gavan introduces himself and the Gokaigers protest that they were pretty much given the blessing of Dekaranger crew, but Gavan remains silent before kicking their five collective asses, arresting them, and delivering them to his superior.
Said superior turns out to be Zangyack in disguise, introduces Gavan Bootleg, and immediately tries to execute the pirates. Before they can, Gavan releases them and returns their changers. There’s a short-ish fight before the Gojyudrill makes its entrance and rescues the crew. Gavan, however, is captured and transported to the worst prison in the universe.
Gokaiger vs Gavan Film Major Update Back on the Galleon, Marvelous reveals that Gavan saved his life ten years ago, basically by giving him the courage to jump from a platform that was about to explode.
The stroll down memory lane is interrupted by Basco. He tells them about the space prison that Gavan is being held at, knowing that they’ll go off to rescue him and leave the Galleon unguarded. He leaves them alone to figure out how they’re going to get to the prison to rescue Gavan.
Daigorou Oume, Shiro Akebono This is interrupted when Gavan comes walking down a path while talking to a giant Panda. Gai is quick to point out that it’s not Gavan, but Battle Kenya. About five seconds later, Denji Blue walks over. Luka thinks they both look like Gavan, but Gai denies it. Still, they get the idea to use the Battle Kenya and Denji Blue keys to open up a doorway to the space prison where Gavan is being held.
Once they break into the prison, they come across Jealoushito and some of the previous Super Sentai enemies. Having been in prison for awhile, they are a kind of horny and begin to lay flattery on Joe, Luka, Don, and Ahim.
Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters Back on Earth, Basco is about to get aboard the unguarded Gokai Galleon, but is stopped by the Go-Busters team. He thinks they’re impostors, but they tell him that they’re the 36th and newest Super Sentai team, the Go-Busters. They fight Basco to a stalemate, but since Sally was distracted, they’re able to get the upper hand.
In the space prison, the Gokaigers free the inmates after encountering a large group of Gormin. Gai and Joe hold them off while the others go off to find Gavan, who is being tortured by Gavan Bootleg. The Zangyack use the portal technology to stall them.
Don Dogoier with Kaze no Shizuka and Kegaleshia Thanks to the portals, doors in the space prison now lead to other places in the universe. Luka and Doc wind up in Europe fighting an army made up of the family of the Big Brother/Little Brother Zangyak. Ahim winds up fighting another Zangyak general near an ocean.
Marvelous alone makes it through to the room where Gavan is being held. He fights Gavan bootleg and, using a ricochet technique that really need to be seen to be believed, frees Gavan, reversing the roles they were in ten years ago.
The split up team then breaks reality by shooting out the ground beneath their respective feet, reunite in the basement of the space prison, and use a Silver Charged rising strike through the “portals” that takes out most of the Zangyack generals and returns everyone to Earth. It’s hard to convey just how awesome this was.
Gavan Bootleg Back on Earth, Gavan fights Gavan bootleg while the Gokaigers fight the Zangyack general. They use an all pink change, an all white change, and an all red change. Gavan bootleg is destroyed after being stabbed and sliced in half while an exploded car burns in the background.
Once the Zangyack general is defeated, he grows in size and has telekentic powers that he uses to shuffle buildings into GoJyuGokaiOh. Machfalcon joins the party and forms Kanzen GokaiOh, which then surfs around on the back of Gavan’s dragon.
Even THAT isn’t quite enough to put away the general, so Marvelous and Gavan do a combined Final Wave attack while standing on the head of the dragon (that is also carrying Kanzen GokaiOh). The combined Final Wave and GokaiOh attacks finally put away the general.
Gokaiger vs Gavan Film Major Update Afterwards, Gavan tells Marvelous that he’s happy to see what he’s become. Not just a pirate, but a good man. The former Battle Kenya and Denji Blue meet up with the crew. The Gokaigers return their respective keys to them and all transform. We see Gavan pose with Denji Blue and Battle Kenya while Gai flips out and asks for their autographs.

And for some very exciting news: it debuted at #2 at the Box Office, bringing in 159,227 people and grossing 160,750,000 Yen (2.06 million USD) in it’s opening weekend. So Congrats to them on that!

And with that, this post is finally finished! Do I expect this to be one of the last posts I do for Go-Kaiger? Not by a long shot! Especially since there’s still two episodes left, and they’ll also be in the upcoming Kamen Rider X Super Sentai: Superhero Taisen movie this Spring. Plus, they’re just too popular to completely let go of, so who knows what the future may bring for our beloved Space Pirates. But for now, just look forward to the finale!

Power Rangers Ultrapost: Samurai are Super!

Hey, there’s been a lot of Power Ranger news that’s come out over the last month, and for some reason I keep missing it! So, I’m just going to take some of the biggest headlines from the past month or so and thow them all into one Gigantor post! And coming up first we have this new poster for the the new season of PRS, Power Rangers Super Samurai!:

Yep, next season, the “Super” mode will be officially incorporated into the series, including this new Super Mega Mode. And if I’m not mistaken, I can see a new enemy in the corner. No info yet on when the next season will start.

And this poster actually came from the Power Morphicon Facebook page, who also announced the official date for Power Morphicon 2012! This year, it will take place from August 17th-19th 2012 at the Pasadena Convention Center (same location as the last), and Registration is open for anyone interested.

Speaking of Pasadena, anyone who saw this year’s Tournament of Roses Parade (and not on ABC) might have caught a glimpse of the Power Rangers Samurai Video Game float. If not, you can check out this video from the HGTV coverage of the parade:

And here’s a nice gallery of pics:

And here’s a couple of behind-the-scenes videos, one of which includes Andre from BlackNerdComedy:

Now this next part, I don’t have a decent segway for, but it was still awesome.

Yep, this happened, for 48 hours on Nicktoons back on the 6th (January 2012), and I’m assuming it was awesome since I couldn’t watch it because we had downgrade our cable package literally the week of. My life sucks sometimes…

BTW they have been playing that on there regularly as well, so go check it out if you can! Because I can’t. 😦

Now let’s move onto some newer news thst came out while I was working on this ultra-post!

Mainly, Kimberly Crossman has been 100% CONFIRMED to play a future Red Ranger Role! YAY!! This confirmation via a recent video post on Carlos Pena’s YouTube Channel (Carlos Pena from Nickelodeon’s Big Time Rush) where she comes on and outright says it, though she does keep us in the dark about the details. You can check out the whole video below (though I can’t guarantee you’ll be that impressed):

So yeah, there’s that. And then there’s this:

Yep, this is the cover of the latest issue of Hyper Hobby Magazine, which your going to see a lot of as I do more of these ultra-posts, and the portion of it that I want to cover here is this: while full translations of this are STILL not available, we can confirm that Toei did discuss the 20th Anniversary of Power Rangers, and those discussions included possibly re-shooting the Legend War scene from the opening of Go-Kaiger with teams from MMPR onward. Whether the 20th season of Power Rangers will be the Go-Kaiger adaption is anyone’s guess. But that’s still big news, though I wouldn’t expect any adaptions of the movies to be quite as spectacular as the Go-Kaiger movies have been so far.

And that should be about everything, barring nothing comes out in the next five minutes. If anything else pops up, I make no guarantees, but I’ll try to let you know.

Go-Kaiger show and Vs. Gavan movie Super Post: It’s going to be Legend…wait for it…

…Dary! Surprisingly, not a lot of big news for Go-Kaiger from this past week, but there’s still some interesting news for the movie Go-Kaiger Vs. Gavan, and we have new episode summaries for the next two episodes. It’s Don Dogoier the Legendary Hero vs. Damaras, the Strongest Man in Space!

First, here’s the episode summaries for this last episode and the next two (keep in mind that these came out yesterday before anyone saw the episode):

Episode 42: The Strongest Man in Space – 12/11 script: Naruhisa Arakawa / director: Hiroyuki Kato Doc dreads facing enemies and hates fighting. Luka is flabbergasted that he thinks the Zangyack might change their ways. In this fight the enemy targets Doc first. But, instead of facing them, he turns and runs away. Joe bluntly calls him pathetic.

Every time Doc fights now he gets less manly and more uncool. Ahim finds an old magazine with an article about the legendary hero Don Dogoier, looking heroic and brave. He looks just like Doc, so she suspects that they are the same person.

Episode 43: Becoming the Legendary Hero – 12/18 script: Naruhisa Arakawa / director: Hiroyuki Kato Damaras, the strongest man in space, combines forces with Basco and attacks Marvelous and his crew. They don’t see Doc but kidnap the others. Afterward, Doc finally stands up and pursues the enemy.

Episode 44: N/A (12/25) script: Junko Koumura / director: Taro Sakamoto Gai brings a Christmas tree onto the Galleon. The others don’t know about Christmas, so they think the dazzling ornaments are strange. After they learn about Christmas from a picture book, they decide to have a party on the Galleon.

Gai and Luka go out shopping for the party. While they’re out, they meet a group of children decorating for Christmas, including young Sayo. But then the Zangyack appear….

Everybody gets a Christmas episode! And other rumors have the Kakuranger tribute episode after these, which includes the return of Ninjaman!

Anyway, onto movie news!

First, we have this pic from the wrap-up party for the Go-Kaiger Vs. Gavan filming:

Here’s the full Go-Kaiger crew, along with Hosogai Kei who plays Basco da Jorokia, and Ohba Kenji, who reprised all three of his famous toku roles in the movie. The movie comes out January 21st with Blu-Ray/DVD release on March 21st (wow, only a two month turn around; unusual, but wholeheartedly welcomed!).

And we now know what the theme song for the movie will be! And it is (drumroll please)…

…”JUMP!” by Kushida Akira and Matsubara Tsuyoshi! Just like the movie is a crossover between the Super Sentai and Metal Heroes series, the song is a collaboration between Kushida, who sung the Gavan theme song, and Matsubara, who sung the Go-Kaiger theme song. “JUMP!” will be released January 25th.

And that’s everything related to Go-Kaiger, for now. If anything else pops up, I’ll let you know!

Kamen Rider Fourze and Movie Wars MEGAMAX Mega-Post

Hey, a lot of stuff came out last week about Fourze that I just wasn’t able to cover, so now I’m going to try and go over as much of it as I can now. Let’s see what we can cover!

First, a bunch of scans:

New AstroSwitches: #21 Stealh, #22 Hammer, #23 Water (a faucet), #24 Medical (first aid kit), and #25 Pen (a writing brush).

And as far as show news goes from all of this, it looks lik we’ll see the Magnet State soon, and we might see Kamen Rider Meteor appear soon as well. And with them, come new Zodiart enemies.

And as for movie news, I think this newest plot summary could cover it:

Part 1: Beginning A meteor falls down.

The 7 Riders try and prevent Foundation X from taking SOLU. Kannagi manages to get the SOLU.

Part 2: Kamen Rider OOO

40 years into the future, Kamen Rider Poseidon declares he’s  going to become a Kamen Rider Hunter. Miharu received a new belt and  Core Medals from Kougami, found the Core Medals that disappeared at the  final episode, absorbs them and goes crazy, taking the name Poseidon. He  travels back in time through a time drift. Miharu received the Poseidon Driver because he felt he was weak and was afraid of water. Kougami  believed this belt would help him.

Kougami tells the Double Birth to fight him off, they lose. The  Prototype Driver is broken permanently. Then tells Eiji to come back to  Japan, as he’s traveling around the world trying to find the Core  Medals. At the airport, Eiji meets Ankh. They head over to Cous Cousier, Chiyoko welcomes them. Waste Yummies shows up.

Miharu and Poseidon splits apart into two different beings. Seems like  Miharu had some sort of parasitic bond with the Core Medals. Not really  explained why they split, Poseidon rampages even more. Miharu transforms  into Aqua. Eiji gives Miharu a pair of tomorrow’s underwear.

Ankh, takes the form of Eiji, as a strategy. Ankh doesn’t possess Eiji.  Together they manage to grab some Medals and Eiji goes Shauta. Aqua and Tajadoru finishes Poseidon off. Miharu returns to the future, Ankh disappears without anyone knowing. Foundation X shows up and attacks Team OOO. Grabs Poseidon’s Medals and leaves.

Part 3: Fuuto – The Secret Plot Advances

Shotaro chases after Foundation X (Supposedly a request from Eiji). Foundation X are transporting the SOLU somewhere else. While Phillip is busy researching, Shotaro transforms into Joker. As they fight, the SOLU leaks out from a capsule.

The Legendary Seven Riders are at some airport, fighting Kannagi. Kannagi overpowers them and turns them into Switches and Medals.

Part 4: Kamen Rider Fourze

Nadeshiko falls down from the sky, Gentaro catches her and falls in love.

Foundation X team up with the Zodiarts, Fourze heads out to fight. Kamen Rider Nadeshiko shows up. Sadondas shows up to retrieve Nadeshiko, Nadeshiko turns into the SOLU  Switch. Gentaro starts crying and screaming. Kamen Rider Club+Power  Dizer shows up to fight.

At the very end of part four, Eiji appears and asks for Gentaro’s help.

Part 5: Movie Wars MEGAMAX

A bunch of monsters are standing in front of Shotaro, Phillip, Eiji and Gentaro as they transform together. The three of them chase after Kannagi, they arrive at a warehouse and save the seven Riders. Fight against old monsters ensues. Special attacks are executed in a row, one after another.

Kannagi becomes Super Galaxy King by using Poseidon’s Medals and the SOLU Switch. Fourze takes Nadeshiko’s Rocket Switch and goes into Rocket States. Miharu shows up and gives Eiji the Super Core Medals. The jingle is “Super  Taka! Super Tora! Super Batta! Ta-to-ba, tatobatatoba, SU-PER!”

They fight Super Galaxy King as the medley plays. Report ends here, nothing about the conclusion was included.

Well, that didn’t quite cover all of it. We now know who the newest Foundation X members are:

The members of Foundation X who will appear in the movie are: Rem Kannagi (played by Toru Masuoka), Katal (played by Dante Carver), Solaris (played by Sanae Hitomi) and Chancellor Kiima (played by Azusa Watanabe).

Katal and Solaris are Rem’s subordinates while Chancellor Kiima is his boss. Based on the scan posted above, Katal will transform into Sadondas. It is also to note that Sanae Hitomi previously played Shion, one of the psychic soldiers of W RETURNS: Kamen Rider Eternal and is Kamen Rider Nadeshiko’s suit actress in the film.

Lastly, Azusa Watanabe is best known for role as Miyuki Ozu aka MagiMother from Mahou Sentai Magiranger.

And lastly, we now know the title of the theme song for the MEGAMAX movie:

The song is called “SAMURAI STRONG STYLE”, sung by Show Ayanocozey of Kishidan, a.k.a. DJ OZMA, and arranged by Marty Friedman. The single is slated for release December 21st. Interesting to note that the song, according to reports, is another effort to cheer up the people of Japan after the quake. “SAMURAI” stands for the Japanese people, and “STRONG STYLE” represents their fighting spirit.

And that should officially be everything now. You’re all caught up. Yay.

Fourze Scans and Episode Summaries: Even in Japan, people have started celebrating Christmas WAY too early.

New episode summaries are up for December, and it looks like the KRC is celebrating Christmas in style at the Rabbit Hutch. And it looks like we might be getting a surprise after the 13th Episode, we may be getting a big surprise!

Wanna bet it’s got something to do with him?

Anyway, here’s the rather sparse episode summaries:

Episode 14: N/A – 12/11 Scorpio Zodiart stabs Gentaro with its stinger. Gentaro is on the verge of dying.
Episode 15: N/A – 12/18 The Glee Club invites Yuuki to sing Christmas carols and a kindergarten.
Episode 16: N/A – 12/25 Yuki shows up with her Hayabusa suit and is popular with the kids.

And I’m guessing that this is from the MEGAMAX movie? This is the Medal Switch Driver, which brings out the power of the Core Medals and the Astro Switches. What kind of powers does it possess after combining modern science and alchemy? Probably one that will cause many explosions.

New Gobuster Cast and General Rumors: Pick a naming convention already!

Looks like we’ve got new rumors for the 36th Super Sentai series, Tokumei Sentai Gobuster, and it features a new cast rumor and new plot point rumors. And this time, we get to see more Foodroids! (Wait, wrong show) Check out the current cast line-up:

The core team will be composed of  RedBuster, Sakurada Hiromu (played by Suzuki Katsuhiro), BlueBuster, Iwasaki Ryuuji (played by Baba Ryouma), and YellowBuster, Usami Youko (played by Arisa Komiya).

And here’s the current set of rumors that have come out:

  • Heroine is a favorite among “maniacs”
  • A former Space Sheriff guides the 3 rangers
  • Enemies are Supernatural Creatures/Ghosts
  • Strong comedy flavoring
  • Transformation Device is the Mission Paneler. Smart Phone type.
  • Robot is a cross between GekiTouja and SirenBuilder
  • The Partner Robos seem to be based on “Favorite Foods”. The first 3 are  meat, fruit, vegetables. The 4th ranger’s robo may be a  dolphin/representing fish.

It’s like all of the rumors from the past couple of months are starting to coalesce. Plus, the Foodroids have been upgrade to full Food mechs! Really, you take that from Fourze?

Go-Kaiger Vs. Gavan Leaked Images: What kind of jail is this?

Check out the newest leaked scans from the Go-Kaiger Vs. Gavan movie. This one, leaked earlier today, shows scenes of a space prison full of former Sentai Villains!

According to these scans, and a couple of rumors, the prisoner list includes: Shizuka of the Wind (Boukenger), the three Pollution Ministers — Kegaleshia, Kitaneidas and Yogostein (Go-onger), Yatsudenwani (Abaranger), Gekkou (Boukenger), Bae (Gekiranger), and Jealoushitto (Gokaiger).  And notice that the three Ministers all have white cloths on their head, indicating that they’re ghosts. And they aren’t the only ghosts, because supposedly Walz Gil is also suppose to be locked up with Jealoushitto. One guy supposedly came across them filming a scene where Jealoushitto and Walz Gil were in a fist fight, and the Gobusters showed up to hunt down the ghostly Prince.

This is quite the shock to see, because everyone in there either reformed or changed sides, so why have they been locked up? Well, it turns out that the prison is in Makuu Space, and that Gavan was tricked into locking them up with the Go-Kaigers by movie villain Makuu Prison Chief Ashrada! (pictured in the scans below) Will Gavan be able to see through the deception in time to correct his mistake? Apparently not, at least that’s what the scans below show:

I must see this henshin sequence, NOW!

Suddenly, the line-up is much shinier!

Andm on top of Gavan appearance, we get to see BattleKenya and DenjiBlue fighting alongside. Nothing quite like teaming up with yourself AND yourself. 😛

And we do have a little more info on Gavan Bootleg. It’s a robot warrior created from the combined technologies of the Space Police and the Zangyack, who can mimic all of Gavan’s abilities, and can drag people into Makuu Space.

Of course, no robotic copy could ever replace the original. 😉

And this is Makuu Prison Chief Ashrada, who tricked Gavan into arresting the Go-Kaigers, and who inherited the blood of the fallen space mafia Makuu leader Don Horror. In the movie, he activates his own blood in order to expand Makuu space and conquer the Earth by engulfing it!

And here, we see Gavan after he’s captured Marvelous, working on what he thinks are orders from the Space Police Chief Uibaru, only to realize afterwards that Uibaru is really Ashrada! But when he tries to free the Go-Kaigers, he gets captured and locked up by Gavan Bootleg!! How will they all get free and stop Ashrada before he engulfs the Earth in Makuu space?

Expect epic fight sequences and action from Gavan.

Here, we se Retsuo Ichijoji after he’s rescued a young Marvelous. A small heart-warming scene, I’m sure.

Here, we see Retsuo trapped in Makuu prison by the bootlegged robot. Will Marvelous and the crew be abel to free him, and themselves, in time to stop Ashrada’s plans?!

And it looks like Elder, the older of the Sneak Brothers that was batted out into some distant horizon, has returned for revenge! And he brought along his younger sister, Sister! And it looks like they’re trying to tangle with BattleKenya, which might be a big mistake.

Kaizoku Sentai Go-Kaiger Vs. Uchu Keiji Gavan premieres January 21st, 2012.

Ninjaman Returns?!: What does the jar reveal?

Of the many Sentai heroes and warriors that fought in the Legend War, one that was noticably missing for long-time Sentai fans was a certain blue ninja of Kakuranger fame by the name of Ninjaman. For the MMPR generation, you know him as Ninjor, the one that gave the Rangers (and the Alien Rangers before them) their Ninja Powers in the TV series (sorry, the movie explaination doesn’t count). Part of the reason fans have complained about him not being included in the Legend War was because there were other Extra Senshi similar to Ninjaman who were there and in on the action. So what happened to Ninjaman? Well, we thought we had the answer before, when these translations from the 199 Heroes movie pamhplet came out:

  • There was actually a great battle with many of the Sentai giant robots against the Zangyack’s fleet.
  • The robots were destroyed/defeated and that’s where the movie picks up from at the start.
  • Ninjaman and Datas probably fought in the giant battle but ended up becoming inoperable/unable to fight. Note it is possible that Ninjaman was sealed back in the jar following the events of the legend war.
  • Ohranger’s Gunmajin may have fought, but since he is so fickle, maybe not (laughs).
  • Zuban survived that battle and that’s why he was still fighting in the war in what we see in the movie.
  • In the movie, we’re only told Gokaiger takes place “a few years later” but it’s approximately 3 years. The only hint of that in the movie is Nozomu’s school uniform indicating he is in Grade 8 now.

But now it looks like that might not have been the whole story, at least not according to this screen shot from the latest episode of Go-Kaiger:

So what is this ominous, shadowed jar suppose to be? Well, almost everyone has speculated that this is the jar that Ninjaman was sealed in a millenium before the events of Kakuranger, and that most likely Ninjaman is still contained inside. or those that need further proof of this, take a look at this comparison to the scene below from Kakuranger:

So then, did Domon send them out to protect the Megakure shrine knowing that the jar was there? And if that really is Ninjaman’s jar, does that mean that Ninjaman is the key to gaining Kakuranger‘s Grand Power?

And if so, then what about the persistent rumors that the original Ninjaman suit is lost? Supposedly, there was only one suit made, and when Toei lended it to Saban for MMPR season 3, Saban lost the suit. Not sure if I believe that rumor, mostly because they would have had to make several suits for stunts and back-ups anyway. But they’ve been floating around for a while, so there.

Also worth noting for those of you unfamiliar with Kakuranger mythos, the reason Ninjaman was sealed away in the jar was because he was fooled by Daimaou into attacking humans, and was sealed away as punishment.

Go-Kaiger Slated to run for 52 Episodes?: As far as I’m concerned, it could go on another season.

Alright, there’s been a mini debate over ho long Go-Kaiger will actually run for. On the one hand, you have rumored episode summaries that point to 50 episodes, and before then there were rumors that the series could go well over 50. So which rumor is closer to the truth? Looks like we might have the answer to that question.

According to new Blu-Ray and DVD listings, Go-Kaiger will run for 52 episodes. This comes from news that they are including five episodes per disc, instead of just four, and that they started including those fifth episodes as early as volume 9 (total volume collection has been counted at 12). So if the last four volumes includes 5 episodes each, and the previous 8 volumes included four episodes each, then that brings the hypothetical total to 52 episodes, which would debunk the newer finale rumors and reassert the older episode count rumors. But is this really the case? Will the series run throught February We’ll just have to keep waiting to find out.

New Gobuster Rumors: Trust No One. Seriously, there’s no consitency with these rumors anymore..

Well, there’s been a number rumors about the future Sentai series Gobuster that have popped up over the last day or so, and I would have reported on them sooner, but I got swept up in the Power Ranger Morphenomenon Jungle Fury Marathon that’s still running on Nicktoons. Ignoring that, there is one thing I can say for certain about the rumors, and that is that I have no certainty about what the story is suppose to be anymore. There’s been one rumor after the next, and they all seem to contradict one another (for example, there’s one that was posted on JEFusion that says their suppose to be University students, but since it was proven false I’m not going to mention any of it). So for now, I’m just going to post rumors from solid, semi-reliable sources, which leads us to this batch of rumors from Dukemon22. It would seem to somewhat solidify the spy theme rumor that came out yesterday, and the general connection to Metal Heroes that’s been persisting since before the series name was even confirmed.

Here’s the current set of rumors, according to dukemon22:

  • Red’s motif/partner is a Cheetah. It can transform into a motorcycle.
  • Blue’s motif/partner is a Gorilla. Main ability comes from raw strength.
  • Yellow’s motif/partner is a Rabbit. Master of technology that can hack into any computer system.
  • The forehead of the helmet has the face of the animal. The eyes of the helmet are sunglasses, similar to GokaiSilver in color.
  • They look a little like Metal Heroes.
  • There are Partner Robots. Cheetah and Gorilla are person sized, and will be of the rubber-suit variety while Rabbit will be Bomper-esque in size.

And yes, they will supposedly act as the Sentai mechs and combine together to form the main robo.

Why Robotack you ask? Because that’s probably the closest to what they’re describing. Hopefully, they’ll look a little better than that.

Also rumored was their henshin devices and weapons: For the henshin device, supposedly they will be using sunglass to henshin. The sunglasses will pop out from their wrist bands/watches. And since they’ll be spies, their main wepins will by spying equipment (cameras, smart phones, etc.).

And that’s all of it, for now anyway. Hopefully, we’ll start seeing more of a consistency with these rumors.
