Power Rangers Ultrapost: Samurai are Super!

Hey, there’s been a lot of Power Ranger news that’s come out over the last month, and for some reason I keep missing it! So, I’m just going to take some of the biggest headlines from the past month or so and thow them all into one Gigantor post! And coming up first we have this new poster for the the new season of PRS, Power Rangers Super Samurai!:

Yep, next season, the “Super” mode will be officially incorporated into the series, including this new Super Mega Mode. And if I’m not mistaken, I can see a new enemy in the corner. No info yet on when the next season will start.

And this poster actually came from the Power Morphicon Facebook page, who also announced the official date for Power Morphicon 2012! This year, it will take place from August 17th-19th 2012 at the Pasadena Convention Center (same location as the last), and Registration is open for anyone interested.

Speaking of Pasadena, anyone who saw this year’s Tournament of Roses Parade (and not on ABC) might have caught a glimpse of the Power Rangers Samurai Video Game float. If not, you can check out this video from the HGTV coverage of the parade:

And here’s a nice gallery of pics:

And here’s a couple of behind-the-scenes videos, one of which includes Andre from BlackNerdComedy:

Now this next part, I don’t have a decent segway for, but it was still awesome.

Yep, this happened, for 48 hours on Nicktoons back on the 6th (January 2012), and I’m assuming it was awesome since I couldn’t watch it because we had downgrade our cable package literally the week of. My life sucks sometimes…

BTW they have been playing that on there regularly as well, so go check it out if you can! Because I can’t. 😦

Now let’s move onto some newer news thst came out while I was working on this ultra-post!

Mainly, Kimberly Crossman has been 100% CONFIRMED to play a future Red Ranger Role! YAY!! This confirmation via a recent video post on Carlos Pena’s YouTube Channel (Carlos Pena from Nickelodeon’s Big Time Rush) where she comes on and outright says it, though she does keep us in the dark about the details. You can check out the whole video below (though I can’t guarantee you’ll be that impressed):

So yeah, there’s that. And then there’s this:

Yep, this is the cover of the latest issue of Hyper Hobby Magazine, which your going to see a lot of as I do more of these ultra-posts, and the portion of it that I want to cover here is this: while full translations of this are STILL not available, we can confirm that Toei did discuss the 20th Anniversary of Power Rangers, and those discussions included possibly re-shooting the Legend War scene from the opening of Go-Kaiger with teams from MMPR onward. Whether the 20th season of Power Rangers will be the Go-Kaiger adaption is anyone’s guess. But that’s still big news, though I wouldn’t expect any adaptions of the movies to be quite as spectacular as the Go-Kaiger movies have been so far.

And that should be about everything, barring nothing comes out in the next five minutes. If anything else pops up, I make no guarantees, but I’ll try to let you know.

Climax Heroes Fourze Update: Tag-Team Supreme!

Following the Tokyo Game Show 2011 last week, Namco Bandai posted comments on their new tag-team system on their official blog for the Kamen Rider Climax Heroes Fourze. Here are three of those features mentioned in said blog:

  • You can swap characters freely without consuming Gauge.
  • You can call your assist to do combined attacks. For example, if you choose Faiz Blaster and Hyper Kabuto both of them can do a powerful missile attack. This consumes Rider Gauge.
  • When it’s two-on-two on screen, you can swap between characters letting the CPU control the other one.

Power Rangers Magic Force MMORPG planned for South Korea: Who wants to be first in line for beta testing? :O

Sorry for the two-day delay, the real world sucks sometimes. Anyway, onto business!

Toei has partnered with the South Korean game company Ntreev Soft to produce a new MMO based on the Super Sentai series called Power Rangers Online, which the plan on unveiling by the end of this year.

The game will be based primarily on Mahou Sentai Magiranger, which aired in South Korea in 2006 as Power Rangers Magic Force as Korean dub of the original series (it should be noted that they’ve been airing Super Sentai in Korea under the Power Rangers title since Abaranger aired as Power Ranger Dino Thunder in 2003). It’s expected to be a side-scrolling action RPG, with players having the chance to create special costumes, learn unique combats skills, and fight monsters from the series! The teaser site for the game is already up (click here), and it’s announced plans to launch closed beta testing within the year.

The game is being co-developed by Ntreev, Daewon Media, and Ironnos.

Ntreev has indicated that the series has been well recieved by gamers, and they expect the game to be popular across all audiences. My only question is, why hasn’t this happened yet?! 😉

Kamen Rider Fourze Update: Episode Rumors and Secret Game Character

How do you like the henshin pose?

Anyway, we have two big stories about Fourze out, the first about rumored first episode summaries, the other about Fourze as a secret character in the All Kamen Rider Generation NDS game. Let’s jump to it.

First, we have some rumored summaries for the first three episodes of Kamen Rider Fourze. Let’s see what we can expect from this new series:

Episode 1: Youth Switch On!
One day, an unthinkable bad boy transfers to Amanogawa High School. He aims to befriend every single student attending to the school. But the school is filled with weird people and this task is harder than it seems. He’s suddenly called out by his classmate, Kengo Utahoshi.

Episode 2: I’m Kamen Rider!
After Gentaro saved Kengo, he entrusts the Astro Switches to Gentaro. A girl by the name of Yuuki Joujima catches a glimpse of Gentaro fighting as Fourze. Later, Gentaro is taken to outer space.

Episode 3: Let’s Fly, Launcher!
Gentaro creates the Kamen Rider club. However, Kamen Rider Fourze itself is supposed to be a secret. Thus he’s not even allowed to say that Fourze is a Kamen Rider. Gentaro who’s not happy about that decides to hold an assembly in front of the whole school to spread the word of his club. A mysterious man holding a switch was seen standing in the corner of the gym.

I expect that there’s some action going on in these episodes that hasn’t made itself prevalent yet. More on this as we get closer to the premiere of the series.

But something we do have a good deal of info on is our next story!

With yesterday’s release of the Nintendo DS game, All Kamen Rider: Rider Generation, we have learned that Kamen Rider Fourze is infact an unlockable character in the game.

From what we’ve been able to gather from the in-game footage that’s been released (below), it seems that he does have some special attacks through his four main Modules, which do have the module sounds, but he has no finisher, and no fighting abilities beyond the basic controls (i.e., no special skills or special combos). Rake a look at the video below, which features Fourze with OOO:

For anyone who has a copy of the game, or is interested in purchasing one, and would like to unlock the character the character, the password is: X2F8-4V75-563H-7833.

There are also rumors the Kamen Rider New DEN-O will also be an unlockable character, though nothing has come out to confirm it.

Kamen Rider Fourze premieres September 4th, while the All Kamen Rider Game is currently available. Limited editions of the game featuring 28 slip-on covers for the game are also available.

That’s it for Fourze news at the moment. If anything else pops up, I’ll be sure to let you know.
