Another Arrest of Kamen Rider OOO Uploader: What, this crap AGAIN? Seriously, people.

Two weeks ago, I brought your attention to three minors who had been arrested for allegedly uploading and storing episodes of various TV series, including one minor who uploaded three episodes of Kamen Rider OOO. Well, we now know of another arrest made for a similar “crime”.

Last Tuesday, police arrested a 47-year old male company worker from Tokyo on suspicion of recording and storing episodes of Kamen Rider OOO on the server of a foreign video-streaming website without the permission of the copyright holder. Thirteen items were confiscated from his home, including a personal computer and a Blu-Ray recorder.

According to the Association of Copyright for Computer Software, the suspect allegedly recorded the 1000th episode of the Kamen Rider franchise (OOO ep.27) and stored the video file on the server for FC2, a video-streaming website run by California-based FC2, Inc., around March 27th.

The suspect allegedly admitted the crime done, and said that he had been doing so since January of this year. He reportedly said that he saved those files onto the network in case his computer’s hard disk was damaged.

For anyone who read the first post from two weeks ago (to the day), you already know how I feel about this story. For now, I’m going to hold back on the long-winded rant. But that doesn’t mean that I’ve had a change of heart about this subject. Quite the opposite, in fact. This only confirms how idiotic and unfair these laws are, how pointless and unneccesary they are compared to other more important issues. Unless this guy was selling these Blu-Rays out of the back of a van, then there was no point in arresting him. That’s my opinion, whether you agree with it or not. If you want to hear more about it, click the link above that will take you to the first story.

Ultraman Saga release date confirmed

The release date for the third film in the Ultraman Zero trilogy, Ultraman Saga, has been confirmed. Sagae Hiroshi, popular for his special effects and minature model designs, confirmed through his Facebook page that the movie is slated to be released sometime around February 2012.

Sagae, who is currently working on the movie, will be providing the kaiju models for the stop-motion animation sequences.

He also confirmed that the director will be Oba Hideki, who directed Ultraman Zero vs. Darklops, and the special effects will be handled by Mike Toshio (no, not the English “Mike”, it’s mi:k), who worked as the production designer on “Heisei Gamura Series”.

Kamen Rider Fourze scans: 3, 2, 1, HENSHIN!

Here’s a collection of Fourze scans that literally just popped up, so for now there won’t be any real context for them. Oh well, check them out anyway:

Let me answer the questions I know you’ll have here: Yes, he’s shooting rockets with his face on them from the Launcher on his left leg, and no, that isn’t a crane arm, I don’t know what it’s called, but it looks like a robotic extender claw. When I know the official name for it, I’ll be sure to tell you. [See Update below]

And they try to keep kids from fighting in class…

And between these last two scans, we can get in in-depth look at Fourze’s Rider Kick. First he uses the Rocket to fly up into the air (or maybe even space), and when he get’s high enough, he turns the Drill on, flys back down, and drills through his opponent.

That’s all for now, if anything else comes out, I’ll let you know.

UPDATE: (7/28/11) I just wanted to add a couple of things. First, the kaijin in this series are called Zodiarts, I may have mentioned it before and just forgot (no word on whether or not the Zodiart switches will be used), and the first three he’ll be facing are the Orion (big red one), Scorpio (the one in purple Fourze is fighting in the classroom), and Reptile Zodiarts (the Reptile Zodiart was featured in a previous post). For the most part, it looks like the Zodiarts will be based on Zodiac/astrological constellations. Second, the fifth Astro Switch shown above with the crane arm-like device is called “Magic Hand”, not sure what that name is based on. Third and final, his finishing move, shown above, is called “Rocket Drill”. Pretty clever name, huh? 😛

Kamen Rider OOO Info and news: Eiji’s a Greeed, Date returns, and Ankh is finally complete.

Whoa, we just took a major left turn. It looks like Eiji will become a Greeed! (Hmm, doesn’t that plot line sound familiar?)

At the moment, it looks like this transformation, influenced by the five purple core medals in his body, may be permanent. While he can take on a human form, he may not be able to completely revert back into a human.

And while both Eiji and Dr. Maki are dinosaur-themed Greeeds, only Maki has been label as the “Dinosaur Greeed”. Eiji is being called the “Eiji Greeed”.

And to make matters worse, Ankh has found a way to fully revive! You can see him here, with his face completed, and the place in his “belt” is now yellow.

But it’s not all bad news, as we get to see this:

That’s right, Date’s back! And he’ll be fighting alongside Gotou in the Prototype Birth suit, distinguishable by the red markings across the little gashapon capsules. Apparently, the prototype suit only has the Crane arm and the Breast Cannon, although it matches the Birth suit in strength. And it looks like that’s enough to take on a completely revived Gamel.

Looks like someone blew the costume budget before they created the prototype Birth….

And I’d like to leave you with this. It’s TaToBa with purple eyes. The effects of the purple core medals have run that far, that deep. Will Eiji ever be able to revert back to human form? Will he be like past Riders, becoming the very monster he fought against, only to fall at the end when all is said and done? Or, will he find a way to undo what has happened? And most important of all, does all of this mean that the series will end on a cliffhanger? Check back soon to find out!
